Carlos Pizza & Steak House — Restaurant in Town of Slave Lake

I’ve been coming to Carlos &Murphys for a long time and kept coming back for all the reasons, atmosphere, food, drinks, etc. Husband and stoped by and service great and waitress very nice and very friendly. My issue was the food, I’m sure that they may have changed the chef, because the beef enchiladas I order and the whole dish was horrible. The pieces of beef inside the quesadilla had no flavour at all, it seems they just boiled some beef and cut it into pieces and put them in the enchiladas, my husband had same dishes but instead he had the ground beef and it tasted like they poured all the cumin powder in it. We came to slave Lake today from Edmonton to enjoy the beach. Naturally we eventually got hungry and decided a good burger was what we needed - So Naturally we went to a steak and pizza place (heh). Found it to be a bit dated inside. I couldn't care less though, as long as the food is good - and it was! My wife and I both had a burger and our son got the kids spaghetti. Ashley the server was very nice. Found the pricing a bit weird, burgers didn't Include fries, they were seperate and the kids spaghetti charged you per meatball... again, just weird but over all...

I ordered an 8 oz steak medium well with a baked potato Caesar salad and a garlic toast. The steak was burnt and very grisly, the baked potato was soggy and the Caesar salad had so much dressing on it it was gross to eat. They also did not have decent utensils to send with me I ended up eating my meal with my fingers. For the cost of the meal I would think they could at least invest in some decent plastic utensils so one could at least enjoy the middle of my steak because the rest of...
