If only I could give 0 stars … shopping with my toddler twins took longer so we ordered food .. I called and asked if they can bring the food since I’m literally parked right in front of the door, she said no (okay understandable) I then said that’s okay but I have 2 kids and it’s raining, I asked if she can have my food in a plastic bag by the front door and ill quickly give her $40 since my order was $29.70 and she can keep the change .. just so I can run grab the food and come out.. and don’t have to take my toddlers out just to grab the food and come back… she again said no ? I explained super nicely once again that hey it’s raining and I’ll have to take both of them out just for a minute.. and I’m not asking her to come out but just to stand close to the door so I can be in and out super fast … she said I have a table to attend and hung up…

As for the food ! I swear I’m not saying this because of the terrible service because 1- she didn’t own the place and 2- she didn’t cook the food so I wouldn’t do this to the owner or the cook. 4.5/5! I never expect too much from small town restaurants as the competition isn't that stiff for them, but wow, was I surprised with my food tonight! I ordered the dinner for 2 for $34 and got two tiny but tasty wonton and vegetable soups with it (2 ginger forward pork wontons with brocolli and cabbage mostly and a nice consomme broth in both). I also ordered the kare-kare and while it was milder in flavour than I anticipated (as I'm used to Indonesian, African, and Thai peanut-based dishes which are intense in flavour), I did thoroughly enjoy it! The beef with black bean sauce was VERY nice, too, and loaded with fresh vegetables. Tender, great cuts of beef in both dishes. They also listened perfectly to my requests for chili oil, hot sauce, soy sauce, and eating utensils. Delivery is $6, but all in all, I am very satisfied with my meal as the food was fresh and prepared with care. The delivery driver is a lovely man as well. Do not hesitate to order from here if you're visiting Slave Lake. 😊 It is a great deal and well worth your money. I'll definitely be ordering from here again later this week. 😊

I have mixed experiences with Toniroz. The first time I picked up a to-go order, the mushroom chicken dish as very tasty and well portioned. The staff friendly. The second night I go to pick up a to-go order, I am charged 30% more than the menu price and then prompted to tip as well. The lemon chicken which I was excited to eat was very little, mushy chicken (if it was chicken at all) and mostly just deep fried grease. It was enough to give me a stomach ache just biting into the first piece. I went to bed hungry and irritated. I brought the issue to their management, or whoever responds to their customers on messenger - and there was no care given to the complaint or any attempt to remedy the situation.

There's plenty of similar restaurants in town to ever go back...
