I absolutely Love Love Love Chinese Food. Hubby took me here for my birthday(11/22). All we could get was buffet 🥺 We took a walk around and it was pretty empty. We asked if food was coming out (7pm) told well which one do you want? Huh? Fill the dishes please. Have to admit Wonton soup was ok. The deep fried chicken, for a Chinese food buffet, was actually the best thing there. Ginger fried beef the worst ever! Very sad looking, empty vessel, buffet. Could be the cook of the night? Hmm. I don't think so. Overall I won't be back unless I got a discount 'we can do better' invite. I'm sad for my hubby who tried to give me a surprise first Alberta birthday dinner. (We moved here 10/22) I watched what others took. The only one enjoying it the most was a child and he took mostly the cakes and pop. Gave an extra star for the young server who was just learning how to...
Read moreThis is a well established business that I have visited before, many years ago. Returning back, and what a disappointment. The food is so average and the worst of it all is that the fried rice and the noodles were so off-putting. The vegetables were not cooked properly inside the rice and the soy sauce is of poor quality. The noodles had no flavour. The lemon chicken had a slight tangy sauce but the chicken was poor as it was chewy. The salt and pepper chicken was a chilly flake chicken with a nice coating, not greasy, with a good amount of chicken inside. The beef and broccoli had good flavour with soft beef and crunchy broccoli. This is a comfortable establishment with very good service and excellent pricing but the food is very hit or miss and unfortunately, I will not...
Read moreFood: The best and I refuse to eat any other Chinese food in Alberta (unless it’s Bamboo Palace in BC 😝)
Service: Food is always coming out hot and survives a 30 minute trip home if I do takeout. Usually easy to get my order taken, but it’s self-serve when you do the buffet
Atmosphere: The place is quite run down and could definitely use a refresh on the inside and outside, but it gives a bit of character. It gets overwhelming when it’s busy with the lack of dividers or any form of sound proofing so you may want to avoid in-house dining if you’re sensitive. The washroom is hidden in the back down a set of narrow stairs so if you have mobility issues, it’s probably best to avoid using it or do...
