Chin’s cafe — Restaurant in Town of Vegreville

My first time here I ordered a combo meal, it was edible but tasted like a frozen, reheated meal. I decided to give it another chance as the place I'd usually order from was closed and ordered a Special Won Ton soup. The won tons were definitely homemade but the wrapping on them was so thick and gummy/slimy, the meat in them was unlike any I've had in other dumplings, there was a lack of vegetables, and overall the soup was inedible for me and everyone else in my household. I recently visited Chin’s in Vegreville, and it was a delightful experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentically prepared. The ginger beef was a standout, perfectly balanced and delicious. I also tried their special Chin’s egg rolls and I’ve honestly never tried better (I ordered another one to take home)! The staff was incredibly friendly and never let my glass be more than half empty, making the whole dining experience even better. It’s always the way, the best Canadian Chinese food is always in a smaller town. Chin’s Cafe is one of the best in Alberta.

I wish I could move this location to Edmonton so I’d be closer, but it’s well worth the 1 hour and 15 minute drive.

Incredibly delicious food with warm and friendly service. We’re so happy to have found this little gem while on a quick business trip this way.
