New Alberta Pub — Restaurant in Town of Vegreville

It's just a nice place to go, it's the only bar in town where I feel at home and the food has always been great. The pub is unapologetic in its no-frills atmosphere and bare-bones service, but don't let that scare you away. The pub has some of the best burgers in town and daily specials. Wing Thursdays used to be a good deal until they increased the price, but in return it seems like the quality of wings has improved. There used to be a Korean lunch special every Wednesday, but since the head cook was injured, she's been on reduced hours, if/when the lunch special returns, I highly recommend everyone give it a try, it was something I looked forward to every Wednesday.

The Alberta Pub only has two beers on tap, Molson Canadian and Black Label. If you want a side of Clamato to help the Black Label go down a bit easier, it's an extra $3, a little unreasonable for half a glass of a non-alcoholic beverage. Otherwise the pub has a good selection of bottled and canned beverages at a reasonable price. On Friday and Saturday nights, this place transforms into Vegreville's hot-spot for drinking...

First impression started off a little unimpressive but to our surprise this is a great little treasure to be found!!! After a late trip for groceries we were hungry and had a 1.5hr drive home and other than fast food they seemed to be the only game in town at after 9pm... I regret not getting a pic of our meals as they were plentiful! Battered mushrooms for starters with a couple of beer and mushroom burger dinner and a bbq burger i forget the name of now.. Both were a great amount of patty and thick.. lots of ingredients to make it on the edge of a sloppy burger which i enjoy but not too much to be annoying. Small menu but well rounded choices and Id say something for everyone!.. We were definitely full and DEFINITELY will make the time to go back again.. Crowd shows up after 930-10 amd seemed like a nice place for a game of pool and some appetizers as well... Great spot! We really enjoyed...
