Hott Boxx - Chicken, Poutine, Burgers — Restaurant in Town of Vegreville

Ordered mushroom poutine and wings. While the poutine was very tasty, the wings were not a winner. They weren't brown and crispy, just kind of a yellow color. They still had actual feathers on them which was a total turn off. The meat wasn't completely cooked and my daughter was ill most of night. Good thing we didn't eat them all! We paid $81.00 for a burger, fries (which were cold and limp) 2 poutine and 2 orders of wings.The wings weren't uniform...some larger but the rest Boston pizza size. Thought it was rather costly for a meal that wasn't the best. The burger looked small and a little on the charred side. So out of the order, about a quarter of each poutine was eaten, half the fries, 3 pieces of chicken wings from each order and one bite out of the burger. The rest was trashed. Will certainly be a long while before we return, if ever. We wanted chicken, which was listed on rge menu, but the girl said they didn't have chicken, unless they ran out if it. The girl at the counter didn't know her stuff as she kept opening the door and asking the cook everything I asked her. Overall, NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE for the price we paid. Were looking forward to trying them...

Food was excellent, about a 15 min wait for food, the interior design was very stylish, the girl at the counter didn't quite understand when we were asking what was in the sweet sauce, overall an extremely good experience, I would absolutely go there again. Very large portions of food, I had the perogie poutine and it was very good. The perogie poutine was $14.99 but I feel comfortable paying that because it was very good and there was a good amount of food for the price. My friend and I got dine in, it came in take-out boxes and plastic forks which was surprising but ended up being useful since we had to suddenly go. I imagine that many older folks may have a problem with the take-out style though. It may turn them away from eating there again. Excellent atmosphere, wheelchair accessible as well, not sure about the washroom but there was signage leading to the washroom...

It rwfreshing to have a resturant that has the freshest ingrediant used to eat. The portions are exceptional where as some other places serve small portions but big prices. The environment is pleasant the servers are great at their jobs. The owners are hard working people who strive to offer a good selection of food and beverages. This is not anything like the commercial resturants. Its more of a mom and pop operation . This community needs to support the hard working couple who want nothing but the best for the Vegreville community and have worked hard to offer fresh food for...
