We used to love this restaurant but it's really declined. The first waitress was really trying but she was on her own in a full restaurant and super busy but still sweet. A second waitress took over part way through and she was cranky as can be because she was called in early and made sure everyone knew she was unhappy about it. The food was awful! Wherever I go, I always get something with hollandaise if it's an option. I got the morning after poutine which in the past years was great. Now it's disgusting. It has fries, cheese, green peppers, caramelized onions, two over easy eggs and "hollandaise" sauce....except you couldn't see any hollandaise at all. I asked the waitress about it and she assured me it was on there. I asked for a side of hollandaise because you couldn't see or taste it at all. What she brought out was a merky white water with green bits in it... It wasn't the colour or texture of hollandaise and had no taste whatsoever. Might as well have just coated the poutine in dish water for the same result. The green pepper was raw which is awful when put in a warm cooked dish. It used to be sauteed. Just all around terrible and not worth the price at all.

My daughter and I stopped for lunch here. They had patrons seated apart to adhere to social distance rules. The BLT I had reminded me of the best club sandwich I used to have at a now closed restaurant in Peterborough. My daughter had a burger with fries. Both were very generous portions and very good price. Friendly staff and prompt service. Returned for a second time and tried the Morning After Poutine. It was amazing. I have tried to recreate it at home but it doesn't compare to theirs. Excellent hollandaise sauce. Who knew it was great with cheese curds? Yummy. Back a third time. Daughter had to have the Morning After poutine again. I had onions rings. Still a great place to eat. A favourite stop while we're in Campbellford.

After a long cold day of hiking we decided to have dinner in town. The waitress was super friendly and checked up on us regularly. The food was delicious (I had a great chicken souvlaki) and most importantly they took my dad’s allergy very seriously. It’s something I always appreciate because when you have an obscure allergy like garlic you never know if they will treat it seriously. They made a point of checking everything. And even made a special modification to the schnitzel for him. Absolutely wonderful service!

This is not something I normally do, but felt the owners of this restaurant need to be fully aware of how unprofessional their staff is, and how terrible the food has become. This restaurant use to be our "go to" for good food, good service and a nice atmosphere, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. However, the last few times, it has turned into the "run away from this restaurant". When we arrived last night (Apr 21/24), there were 4 other tables taken. One waitress, and according to her, one cook in the kitchen. We waited for seemed like forever to have our orders taken. When she finally did arrive, she SAT in a chair at our table to take our order, claiming to be soo tired! Seriously? Is this how we allow our waitresses to conduct business? My mom ordered 1st. Once she finished placing her order, my dad started his, but, the waitress interrupted him, stating she still had a question for my mom. THAT was rude & again, unprofessional. Another 45 min wait, when our food finally arrived. My 4 yr old grand daughter order pancakes. We didn't get syrup or butter. I had to go to the counter and ask for it. Waitress said she'd bring them over. 10 more mins go by, still no syrup or butter. I went back and she said sorry, I'm really busy and forgot about them. So, I reached to grab the syrup and the waitress said oh well you might as well take the butter and this gravy too! Not to mention, each once of our meals was cold, mine was wrong, and not even an apology. She wouldn't take the pancakes off the bill, even though my granddaughter couldn't eat them because they were so cold. We will NEVER go back. I think maybe it's time the owner trained his staff properly, and if they're over worked and have to SIT to take orders, have 2 waitresses on shift. This experience was absolutely terrible, and my senior parents use to love going there. Not anymore! Terrible, unprofessional service, and obviously poor management from an owner that maybe shouldn't...

Restaurant was seemingly severely understaffed and or under motivated today when me and my family stopped in for dinner. Granted there was a very large group sitting in the back room which of course, I understand. However the service we received and or didn’t rather was absolutely laughable. For example, our server sat beside us in a chair as she took our drink orders, which was very questionable. Secondly, I saw my server cough into the palm of her hand as she entered an order into the machine. We received the order of pop and the like that we had made, but our waitress seemingly forgot the waters we ordered simultaneously for each of us as well. On top of this, when we’d asked if it was possible to switch the spaghetti and marinara sauce that comes with the chicken parm meal to the fettuccine Alfredo, we were told no because of how busy it was. However another person in my group order the chicken fettuccine Alfredo, which I guess couldn’t have had a double order made because it was that busy, right? Another thing was when we’d asked if we could get a double order of wings with the sauces hot and honey garlic mixed, we were told we couldn’t do that - our waitress also made a remark after this saying, “they won’t like you back there” - referring to the kitchen. So we instead ordered a single order of hot wings, and another single of honey garlic. It was quite absurd to see the honey garlic wings were the only wings seemingly tossed in sauce and fully covered, as the hot wings had almost no sauce on them, as it was all in the bottom of wing tray in one big puddle.

Lastly, I thought it was quite odd that after being patient and waiting there for almost 45 mins to an hour to get our food and full drink order, the waitress says to us, “you guys were so patient, I’m impressed” without saying sorry for the wait or anything.

I never write reviews about restaurants when I have a problem with them, but this was...
