I hate leaving poor reviews, but TR’s has definitely earned it. We made a reservation 5 weeks in advance as we were coming from Calgary with a large group. Celebrating what would be our wedding had covid not existed. Confirmed the reservation a week prior to make sure nothing had changed. We arrived with our group of 7 at 6:00pm and were told that in fact, there wasn’t a table available. If we could wait, they would squeeze us in at 7:00pm. We obliged and strolled through town to wind down the clock. Arrived again at 7:00pm to find they had sat another table and would not be able to accommodate us for another hour. As our entire group was now quite hungry, the hostess suggested we could order take-away (not really the celebration we were hoping for) and they would deliver it to our cabin. With limited other options, we agreed and returned to the cabin. After roughly 40 minutes, the order arrived and found that there were no discounts applied + we were charged a delivery fee AND GRATUITY!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!! Definitely not worth what we paid to eat out of take-away containers. We called the next day to discuss things further and were told management was “busy.” Left a detailed message with the host who stated we would receive a call back. One week later and still nothing. Honestly don’t waste your time on this place. They don’t want your business, just...

Servers and staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable, and the restaurant itself is in decent shape. We had the worst table right next to the bar on what felt to be a 30 degree slant, my legs were aching by the time we left from holding myself up.

Had the Pimms drink, it was delicious! Bruschetta was definitely the star here, definitely try the bruschetta, and the calamari was very good also with good dips.

For mains i got the fettuccini with sea scallops and my girl got a caesar salad with chicken. The salad was what you'd expect, the chicken was nicely charred and flavourful, only hiccup was that i pointed at, and ordered the starter salad (9$),but they brought us a ludicrously sized (17$) version, which i didnt notice until after paying the bill, so I got hosed for 8$.

The fettuccini with sea scallops i ordered after seeing many tasty reviews here, however I found it quite bland and unseasoned. After adding a boatload of salt and pepper to it, it was jazzed up enough to make it ok. Personally i would not order this again.

I'd have to try more of the menu before recommending anything else, both our mains were pretty passable.

I would try the bruschetta again any time, and the garlic bread...

Unfortunately had a terrible experience over the phone with who I presume to be the owner of the restaurant. I tried to book a nice dinner reso for our group of 16 people, fully expecting that we wouldn’t be able to sit together because of the size of our party. I explained that it was a bachelorette party group, but that we weren’t going to be rowdy or disruptive to other guests, and that we were interested in their menu and excited to come in for a nice dinner. I said we would be fine with 4 tables of 4 people each. The lady on the phone told me that there would be no way for them to accommodate us, even if we split up. She told me that “a bachelorette party is not what we are aiming to serve here, we aim for a more intimate dining experience”, to which I explained again that we were just hoping to come in for a nice dinner reso and dining experience, not a party, so that would be perfect. She then told me she “didn’t think so”. Very poor customer service. If you are going here with a group, refrain from telling them what it is for or else they will profile you based on that. I felt like I was treated very poorly and the lady on the phone frankly was rude. Just lost 16...

T.R. McKoys Italian We arrived hungry after a seven hour drive, and this resto stood out in the local listings. It was nice enough to sit outside at one of their wrought iron tables. Service was prompt and helpful. We decided to go with the Bartelby Scrivener pizza: slices of chorizo sausage, pesto, arugula, mozzarella cheese, chèvre and balsamic vinegar. The chèvre great quality, and the chorizo sausage was excellent. We wonder if the pie might be improved by using crumbled chorizo rather than slices, but as is each slice provided a nice mouthful. Our only quibble: we both thought there was a wee bit too much balsamic drizzle, but it was still enjoyable. We were happy to see 1/2 litres of house wine available, and took advantage to enjoy a lovely, excellent value-for-money Citra Montepulciano d’abruzzo. It was the perfect pairing for the pizza. All in all this resto provided good food, good value for money, great service in a nice venue. We would definitely return.

Tried T.R’s for the first time. Service is definitely good. We share our meals and grabbed a pizza and a pasta and the server split our plate without us having asked. We usually just share off a single plate but it was very sweet of them to preemptively think of it and divide up the dish. The extra thoughtfulness is a plus. I liked the pasta but somehow expected a little more in flavour. Maybe the hype / word of mouth reputation skews expectations. I saw a few other reviews after the fact with similar sentiment so maybe there’s something to it. Pasta definitely better than pizza. Pizza seemed a bit mid / dry but still good. Again, I think the hype skews expectation cause both I’d consider good. Walked up with no reservation and snagged a patio table. Good experience overall. I’ll have to try more next year to see if any other menu items hit the wow factor.

Went there a few months ago. I think the food is overhyped and overpriced so giving it 2 stars. Ordered a calamari appetizer, soup, cream pasta and pesto pasta. Calamari was amazing and soup was good, whereas the pastas were all under seasoned. The cream sauce doesn’t adhere to the pasta so it’s like soup with pasta on top. The pesto was just… ordinary under seasoned pesto. It was underwhelming. At least they didn’t overcook the noodles.
