The Boardwalk on Clear Lake — Restaurant in Unorganized Division No. 17

We visited Boardwalk on June 7th, 2025, and had a truly memorable experience. Our kids absolutely loved the donuts, and we were all charmed by the warm, inviting vibe of this place and the city itself.

But what made our visit unforgettable was the incredible honesty and kindness shown by the people here. During our visit, it was raining, and in the rush, my wife accidentally dropped her wallet outside the store. After checking everywhere and almost giving up, we approached the counter at Boardwalk as a last hope—and to our relief, the wallet had been safely returned there, completely intact!

A heartfelt thanks to the good Samaritan who found it and handed it in. Special appreciation goes to Sandy, the owner, and the wonderful lady at the counter, who were both incredibly helpful. Sandy even came outside afterward, asked if we had lost something, and made sure we had recovered it.

Such honesty, hospitality, and warmth are rare—and we are truly thankful. Amazing people, amazing place, amazing vibes. We’ll carry this memory with us forever. Thank you,...

I wanted to tell you that our experience this weekend at your business was terrible. We're from Portugal and live in Brandon. A fat, blond young man with a beard was extremely rude, as were two girls who were making fun of my husband because he didn't know what flavors you had (I think you should list the available flavors in big letters before the customer orders so people would know what to order) or maybe it was because of his accent, but the moment I noticed, I told him we should cancel the purchase. Believe me, out of politeness, I didn't tell that guy what he deserved. I hope he speaks four languages like we do, and an accent doesn't mean you're less than a local person. The ice cream here is good, they have some of the best marshmallow sauce I've had.

But, they have many "Specialties" listed on their menu with no descriptions. There is no real way to know what's in them with names like "Fathtastic" and "Meldrum". When there's a long line you feel bad asking what's in them, especially when there's probably 8 of these.

I did ask what was in a couple of them and one of them i was unable to get a description of. The girl taking our order went and got two other employees to try to tell me what was in the Meldrum and none of them could tell me.
