Mezza Lebanese Kitchen — Restaurant in Upper Tantallon

I ordered the Mixed Grill which when I picked it up was just sitting in a bag on the floor, behind the counter which should have been my first indication this wasn't going to be good. When I got home in about 5 minutes, I took out my order and I could tell it was going to be cold (which it was). So first negative. The chicken and the beef (which was more like jerky!) were so dry. The salad dressing was meh and the pita was chewy and not what I'm used to anyway. The fries with my order were also way over cooked and then soggy from cooling down before I got there. My kids ordered the Shawarma Wraps and there was pretty much thumbs down all around and boy were they a messy affair. We made the mistake of ordering the classic Poutine which was also a disappointment. On a positive note, the store was super clean when I went into it so maybe I'll try inside the store next time and the experience will be better. For now though, can't recommend. I'd recommend they come up with a way to keep hot food hot and have things like salads in a separate container. For the wraps it just seemed like too much sauce which overwhelmed the pita bread and made...

I am a long time fan of Mezza and thier variety of foods. I am partial to falafels (love the wraps!).

However, tonight on my way by the Tantallon Mezza, I made an error in judgement. I went inside the Tantallon outlet. I ordered. Oyy ... I should have waited and gone to the Lacewood location!

The wrap was a long time in coming (the cook was busy texting and likely did not hear the kind wait staff order the falafels the first time), there was no one in line. Nobody but myself, and my partner, and the wait staff pre-made it, then once the falafel was finally ready, it was too late-- the wrap disintegrated because it had sat too long with the vegetables; so the wonderful juices made it too soggy to hold. Re-making it would have gone a long way to salvaging my relationship.

I had to come home and try to crisp up a bit on the pannini press. I should have waited and gone to Lacewood. Waste of time and money tonight. Very...

Showed up at 7:02PM, just now. Went in, stood in line. Only to have staff come out from back to say "hey man, the store is closed". Ok. I'm in line. There was no sign on the door when I walked in. Go back to my van and call the wife to let her know she can't get her Shwarma. Then another staff member comes to the door, and puts up a "were closed due to storm" sign..... I was already in the place... So I was kicked out by immature staff. Not impressed, and I definatly do not recommend going here. Children should stay home. Managers job. If manager is a child. Teach some responsibility. Its atrocious. Bon voyage Mezza Tantallon. You lost 4 loyal customers to this. And who knows how many more. 4X $10+ tax. At least 2 times a week. Mmmm.
