It's really unfortunate that this biz doesn't have better reviews. My 3 stars go solely to the food. Food has been very good anytime I have ordered from here. Take out only. I firmly believe in supporting local and am grateful that we have this Chinese restaurant available to us. Having said that, this could be a great biz if a few thing were addressed. The interior needs an update and good cleaning. There is a sour smell? The woman who took my order and gave it to me, can not multi task what soever. She was clearly confused. I picked up my order, gave her exact change with and extra twoonie for her. My bill was 29.03 I gave her 31.05. ($6 of it was $2s) She scratched her head and tried to figure out what was what. After a few mins I explained to her. She finally passed me my bag. I lifted it from the top. I got just outside the door when I noticed it was leaking, grabbed the bottom and turn back inside. I had 2 soup and 1 rice. It was a paper bag. I put it on the counter and asked for paper towels. She said I must have squeezed the bag popping the lids off?? Ok. The phone rang, she said, if you don't mind, handed the paper towel to me to clean the counter. I waited for her to take not 1 but 2 phone orders and then she had to write them down on papers, zzzzz. Another woman came in behind me and she served her, my food still sitting. 10 mins plus at this point. I had to move my car as I was illegally parked and all handicap spaces were full. I'm.slow moving. She didn't know what to with my order? Looking all over for something to put it in. The owner (I assumed) had been watching, offered a box, then got frustrated with her took my order to the back, returned with it repackaged. I felt bad for her but she clearly could not manage this position. On a good note, our soup was really good as usual and the rice exceptional. Just my opinion. Supporting local is important and I hope the owners will hear what we are...

This is the first time in my life I've ever felt compelled to write a negative review about food. We ordered beef and broccoli, General Tso's chicken, chicken chow mein, and four egg rolls from Moon Tang, spending over $60. When we got home, we were in for a shock.
The beef and broccoli were bland with hardly any sauce. The broccoli was mushy, and the beef was absolutely inedible. Words can't fully capture how repulsive it was. The chicken chow mein was no better—overcooked, mushy, and utterly flavorless.
The worst, however, was the General Tso's chicken. Instead of the expected breaded and fried chicken with a flavorful, spicy sauce, we got a mess of vegetables with steamed chicken in a watery sauce. It was unrecognizable. The chicken fried rice was equally disappointing: just plain rice with soy sauce and a tiny sprinkling of diced chicken.
I've never been so grossed out by a meal that I wanted to return the entire order. We called Moon Tang minutes after getting home to express our disappointment. We hadn’t eaten more than a bite of each dish. Their response was shocking. We requested a refund and were told to "just pass it on" and they’d give us a credit instead. When we insisted on getting our money back, we were berated and told there was nothing they could do.
We try to support local businesses, but this experience was incredibly disappointing. Don’t waste your money here. The drive to Timberlea to get East Foodies is worth it. Save yourself the trouble and avoid Moon Tang...
Read moreVery disappointing. There have been a few pretty good reviews so I decided to give it a try - it's the only Chinese food in the area. Beef and Broccoli - very tasteless. The beef is not even cooked in the sauce, it's just a bunch of thick slices of beef cut into the mushy broccoli. The chicken in the General Tao chicken was soooo tough - could almost not get it down. I liked that it was nice and spicy but the tough chicken made it almost inedible. The Cantonese Chow Mein was tasteless. Lots of vegetables but the noodles must have been old, reused ones. Very hard and chewy. Not what a noodle should be. And no flavour. The fried rice was pretty good although I'm quite sure the vegetables were just a frozen mix from the freezer. And another reviewer commented on the spillage. Well, LOL, two of the containers had spilled and soaked the bottom of the paper bag. The containers are old-style clam-shell styrofoam which do not seal dishes with lots of liquid. So, there was a mess to clean up before even getting food on the plate (even though I was very careful in carrying the bags). As I said, overall very...
