We booked our wedding reception with Manjot and from the beginning to the end we were absolutely spoiled by the experience. Here are some highlights: First of the five venues we contacted to return our email and set up a call. Manjot was a good communicator - even when we got anxious and stressy. Kept us feeling comfortable and on track. Made us feel like our budget was reasonable and we hadn't left it too late to work with him Was extremely accommodating for our special food requests including bringing in oysters special order Recommended some super nice touches for our guests (hello barrels with our own aged cocktails in them, branded with our custom logos). He absolutely nailed the anticipated spend based on our guest list Made it super easy to bring stuff in and take it down afterwards (no fuss, no strict deadlines). Recommended some custom drinks and printed a beautiful menu Recommended moving out last call a bit longer to allow us to stay longer if we were having fun (which we WERE). All his bartending staff and management (Shawn, Tate, Sasha, and many more I am sorry I don't remember names after all those cocktails) were exceptional, all super sweet and made my bride and I and guests feel so valued and looked after.
In summary, believe the 5 star reviews. Not many people can say their wedding reception was flawless... but we can! THANK YOU Resurrection - you guys...
Read moreI dropped in for a drink with my partner because we live in the neighbourhood and wanted to check it out. The staff were super friendly and the bar looks cool. The rest of the room is a little underdeveloped, but they seem like a space in progress and from what I saw I have faith they’ll fill in the blanks and it will mature into its potential. I didn’t eat today, so I can’t comment on the food, but my partner really enjoyed her cocktail. I ordered their Rye Old Fashioned, and I was disappointed that they served it on bar ice rather than a block cube or a sphere, but the flavours were there and I felt their Rye was nice after I pulled eight or so ice cubes out of the drink. Granted it was Sunday afternoon and perhaps their prep wasn’t all it could be after a busy weekend, I don’t know. But for a spirits place serving a spirits forward drink I thought the cubed bar ice destroyed the cocktail. Two drinks and 20 percent tip came to 40 and change. They seem lovely and I’ll go back, but I’ll ask for what I’m after next time. Also, the bar stools are not very good and could use a rethink. They’re wobbly...

If you love the craft beer and spirits movement, you will be blown away by this little gem of a distillery in the city. This is a cool distillery and cocktail lounge that serves up tasty 100% organic BC rye grain spirits to its patrons. This space is perfect for office parties, wedding receptions and birthday bashes. Or, just pop in after work and enjoy a post-shift spirit.
With masterful bartenders at the helm, and knowledgable distillers, the white rye and gin make some amazing cocktails like the Martinez and classic G&T's. My favourite drink on the menu is the Copper Harvest, a variation on a Manhattan, and is named after the lovely copper still in the space...and for the fall season it was created in.
The best part about this distillery is that everyone who works there has had a hand in the distilling process, which means that from grain-to-glass, Resurrection Spirits can offer you a complete 'spirit'ual journey.
