Pizza Pizza — Restaurant in Vaughan

Several years ago this location made me change my mind for the Pizza Pizza restaurant for the better, but recently management has changed and so has the quality of food and service for the worse. After the changes, I've had several times where my order should be free, but was ready within a minute and I didn't say anything and paid. To top it off, they never would show me the pizza before paying even tho I noticed the pepperoni count and amount of sauce decreased creating a drier and pepperoni-light pizza. This never happened previously. To top it off, the majority of the time my order is two simple pepperoni pizzas. My last time I was there, I waited over 5 minutes past the free point and when I approached the counter to get an ETA, I was heavily pressured to pay for my order before they would check on my order. I showed on the app that my order should be free and finally the employee went to the back to check on my order. I never got an explanation, but after waiting at least another 15 minutes I was told my order was ready. Needless to say, it appeared my order was never started until I asked about the status of my order. The order was embarrassingly given to me for free.

Finally today was the first time I revisited the restaurant in a long time because I won a free pizza slice form a sporting event. When I walked in and asked for a slice, it looked promising, but when I was told they'd have to keep my ticket, I asked if it was possible for them to void the ticket in some way so I could keep it as it was a commemorative ticket for a good seat and I wanted to keep it as a keep sake. The employee said no, but then said he'd go ask the manager. He came back and said the manager said "no". I asked to speak to a manager myself, to which he finally said "well there is no manager, we just have a head cook" and I couldn't talk to him. All the while I was dealing with this employee, other customers were having problems with another order. Needless to say I walked out without my pizza and...

When I was at Pizza Pizza, I ordered a Mediterranean Vegetarian slice and a regular Mediterranean slice. The employee working there—I don’t know her name—put both slices in the oven and cooked them for exactly 12 minutes, which clearly overcooked them and made them burnt. She ended up having to replace the order, but instead of giving me another Mediterranean Vegetarian slice like she was supposed to, she told me there were none left and handed me a plain cheese slice instead. That slice is not the same in terms of flavor or price, and she didn’t even bother to ask if that was okay. I also can’t eat pepperoni for personal reasons, and although that wasn’t the issue this time, her careless attitude made me feel like my needs could easily be ignored.

What made it worse is that this isn’t the first time I’ve seen her act unprofessionally. I’ve witnessed her being rude and dismissive to many students before—she often looks annoyed when taking orders and has an overall negative attitude. In my opinion, someone like that should not be working in customer service. It’s not just about one burnt pizza, it’s about the way she treats people and the complete lack of effort to fix her own mistakes. Something needs to be done about it, because it’s clearly a...

I absolutely love the Spicy BBQ Chicken this Pizza Pizza location makes. I’ve tried at other locations and they simply don’t make it as great. The dipping sauce is also of great quality compared to a Mississauga I recently went to (not sure how the same dipping sauce can taste different at other locations of the same restaurant, but I won’t question it).

I think improving the cleanliness and convenience that other people have suggested in the other reviews would make my Atmosphere Review upgrade from a 4-star to a 5-star though.

I’m leaving a 5-star review because I’ve personally always had great pizza from this location. I’m pretty picky on food so I’m saying this as a genuine compliment. Maybe this is only because I’m always ordering from a limited menu, but I’m surprised to read the poorer experiences because mine has never been as bad.
