Went with a group of friends last night at around 11pm and we were the only people there since everyone left. The tall girl with long dark hair served us and was absolutely clueless about whats on the menu and was absolutely rude. She knew nothing about filipino food....She did not bring us any utensils, plates, and or napkins for the longest time even though we mentioned that we were all sharing. We were a group of 6 but still asked us to specify the number of plates we wanted lol. I asked her what are her thoughts about the chilly willy drink and she just said "I never tried it before" and left it at that without explaining what it is made out of. We asked to order four Red horse and she was like "I dont know what that is" and I said its a filipino beer and she was like "we dont serve it here and I never heard of it before" and we had to literally pull out the menu and show her that it is in the premium beer section and she was like I dont know. My friends then asked if she could go ask her co-workers if they have red horse and if not, she can just bring us heiniken instead. Since we sat on the table next to the bar, we saw that she did not ask anyone about the red horse and just went and opened heiniken bottles. She ignored our requests and acted like she was too good for her job as a server. She was absolutely rude and frowning whenever she served us, eventhough we were always smiling and friendly but when she served one guy who came in 1ish hour after us and sat on the bar, she was smiling constantly. At the end, when it was time for us to pay, she would watch all of our transaction and hover next to us when it came to the tip section. She had no customer service skills whatsoever and was completely ignorant when it came to the menu and what they served. Also, kept giving us a drink that looked like a tequila sunrise whenver my brothers ordered a long island iced tea. Another thing that was dissappointing was the amount of poo stains streaming down on the toilet seat plus the shoe print on the toilet wall. I never experienced such a horrible experience like this. The experience just got worst from the beginning to the end. Food was decent but everything else was bad, I now understand why this place is rated 4.6/5 because most of the reviews are from customers who order take out/delivery. Plus being filipino myself, i felt offended that this server can work at a filipino bar but not know anything about filipino food and the menu.
P.S.: I am so over servers who act like they are too good for their job and lack in customer service skills which is what their job entitles them to be good at. I used to be a server when I was in uni so I understand how it works and how stressful it can be but the fact that we were literally the only group there at 11PM on Saturday August 20 2022 gives this server no reason to act rude...
Read more“Eat at your limit for less- Be Limitless” Limitless Bar and Grill is a casual bar and local spot in Thornhill serving up Chinese and Filipino BBQ. Came here with a few friends to try out their food fare. It’s a nice casual spot to have some drinks and watch sports as they have tv’s setup throughout the bar. They offer a variety of daily specials each day for both food and drinks.
They have some interesting food and drinks options here. As a group, we were pretty hungry so we ordered a bunch of dishes. We ordered the Chicken Wings with the Spicy Ranch and Honey Garlic flavours, Pork Belly Fries, Grilled Milk Fish, Pork Belly Nachos and the Limitless Platter. The great part about these dishes is they come in platter style so they all make great shareable dishes with friends.
I thoroughly enjoyed their fried chicken wings and loved both flavours. The spicy ranch adds a nice kick but isn’t overly spicy. The honey garlic wings flavour for me is always classic and you can’t wrong with that choice. Loved the fries that came with the platter. The portions for both the pork belly fries and nachos is quite generous for the price. Both were quite delicious. The Grilled Milkfish was an interesting dish as you don’t normally see this kind of dish as traditional bar food. It definitely adds some nice diversity onto the menu. The Limitless Platter was absolutely delicious. The platter is filled with delicious adobo lemongrass chicken thigh, pork belly, BBQ Pork Skewers with Filipino style BBQ Sauce, Grilled Pork Chop serve with vegetables and chili vinegar. The seasoning and flavours for this meat platter was quite tasty and a great sharable item. They also make some nice cocktail drinks that not only look aesthetically nice but taste great as well! Some of us ordered the cocktails including the Ace’s Key, Chilly Willy, Mae Thai and Limitless Lychee Smash. I really enjoyed the Lychee Smash- it’s quite a refreshing drink and goes nicely with the BBQ foods we ate.
Overall, a very nice dining experience. The prices are very affordable and you really get a large portion for what you pay for. Definitely can’t wait to come back here. If you happened to be in the Thornhill area and looking for something different in a bar and grill, then Limitless is the...
Read moreI remember when I was working from home full time during COVID, I always ordered the pork chop platter from Limitless for lunch when I felt too lazy to cook anything myself. The food here accompanied me through the pandemic pretty much.
I thought about it the other day, so I brought my mom back here to dine in. My mom really likes a Vietnamese pork chop, so I want to see if she would enjoy the Filipino charcoal-grilled version of it (she rarely had any Filipino food in her life).
We ordered the BBQ grill platter with rice and four tacos to share since our visit was on a Tuesday. So, we actually didn't enjoy the tacos as much. The jerk chicken had an unexpected vinegar flavour (it was more like a chicken adobo), and the other chicken was served as popcorn chicken with spicy mayo. I was not the biggest fan, I have to say. The fish and beef tacos were better than the chicken ones, but there was nothing too special about them.
The grilled platter was the hit, though—to me, grilled meat and dishes are always the signature of limitless. The meats were full of charcoal flavour. The pork chop & the skrewers were lean yet fragrant without being overly greasy (like many other restaurants). They went super well with rice. I was hoping that they would serve the raisin coleslaw tho—those were great back then, lol.
I bet the Kamayan feast at Limitless would be worth a try. I'll come back with my gang of...
