Hearty Breakfast and Friendly Service:
We recently enjoyed a satisfying breakfast at The Vaughan City Grill, where generous portions and warm hospitality made for a memorable morning meal.
From the moment we walked in, the friendly service set a welcoming tone. The staff was attentive and accommodating, ensuring that our dining experience was pleasant from start to finish.
Now, let's talk about the food. The portions at Vaughan Grill are definitely worth mentioning—each dish was substantial and satisfying. I opted for the classic veggie omelette breakfast combo, which included fluffy pancakes, perfectly cooked veggie omelette. Every bite was a testament to the kitchen's commitment to quality and taste.
What impressed me most was the attention to detail in every aspect of the meal. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were balanced, creating a harmonious breakfast experience.
The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, making it an ideal spot to start the day with a delicious meal. Whether you're a local looking for a hearty breakfast or a visitor in search of a welcoming dining experience, Vaughan Grill delivers on both fronts.
In conclusion, our breakfast at Vaughan Grill was a delightful experience. The combination of large portions, friendly service, and delicious food makes this establishment a standout choice for breakfast enthusiasts. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu...
Read moreWe've visited this restaurant several times in the past and had great experiences. However, I don't think we will return after the disappointing food today. Two of us ordered the usual feature we've had in the past, the Lemon Ricotta Blueberry pancakes. The inside of the pancakes were raw, batter still fluid. When bringing this to our server's attention, she was very apologetic and brought it to the kitchen's attention as well. However, that was met with immediate argument from the chef that we were mistaken, and that the raw flour taste in the still-soupy center of the pancake was just ricotta. This is not the first time we have ordered the dish. Mistakes happen of course, but to actively deny it and think the customer is ignorant is uncalled for. There was no need for argument, or justifying, or having to ask a second time when cooking them a little longer was all we asked for. Eventually it was remade...to way it is usually prepared. Lastly, the avocado in the avocado toast dish was obviously oxidized, completely brownish green. Again, not the usual quality. While edible, it was not appetizing. It's unfortunate the quality of food suffered today as this was our favourite breakfast spot in Woodbridge.
Edit: To be clear...the food returning to the table with the excuse that the raw batter was ricotta did not seem to be a time concern to you. Instead, you made excuses for a mistake rather than "fix the problem asap" as you so inaccurately remember. Not once did I say you yelled, so the lack of tact you are showing as an owner by saying, with a sarcastic wink and condescending "I will speak softly, almost whisper like next time" does in fact ensure I will not be returning again. Which is a shame since the food was great...
Read moreI really wanted to like the Vaughan city grill - my mom had been here previously and highly recommended it to me. However, after dining there this morning I could not say I’d recommend it to others over the countless other breakfast places in Vaughan. Whilst I do understand it was a Sunday morning, we had a large table and the place was quite full, service took quite long. There were multiple people standing at the door waiting to be seated. We ordered and our food did not arrive till about half an hour to 45 minutes later. Once I had finally received my lemon ricotta pancakes with strawberries and whip cream, I noticed a black curly hair on one of the strawberries. I quickly notified one of the staff members who apologized and asked if I would like them to be remade. About 10 minutes later a new batch of pancakes was brought to me, to my disappointment there was another hair on one of the strawberries. Clearly whoever prepared the strawberries was not wearing a hairnet. I let the server know once again, she kindly asked if I would like to order something else and let me know I would not be charged for the meal. I removed the strawberries and ate the other side of the pancakes, which tasted more like blueberry pancakes with a hint of lemon. Lemon ricotta sounded very different to me but they were nothing to rave about. My mother had ordered the big breakfast which featured very crispy home fries and eggs that lacked flavour. Normally, I do not leave reviews such as this but considering it did happen twice, I felt the need to. The only positive thing I can mention is I did enjoy the honey latte I ordered and the waitress was cordial....
