Presentation: 5/5 Taste 0/5 First of all the dosa should be of rice and udad better and not of rava dosa ,if its rava dosa just name all your dosa as rava this or that We ordered special gotala the taste of gotala was just like white sauce pasta its was not at all worth 21$ felt like wasted 21$ Then we took help of waiter and ordered cheese mysore there was red gravy served on side with cheese and butter topped on it but it had no taste at all , by eating i felt like i loss my taste buds or what! , even the taste of sambhar is a bit sweet like Gujarati daal , and chutney was good , but whats the need of giving onion and tomato i mean it has no utility in the plate of dosa , you could have increase the quantity sambhar and chutney instead of giving those chopped tomatoes and onion , then we ordered palak cheese dosa thinking that palak is already salty by nature and with cheese so it might have some taste but again we felt like we again wasted the money as they just mixed palak leaves with cheese and spread it all over dosa with no salt or masala or taste inside it Trust me i have been to surat they serve very tasty food , “surat nu jaman and kashi nu maran sarvashrest ganay che” but you people are spoiling surat impression Please improve the taste and fundamentally dosa is of udad and rice dont change the fundamental basic , ofcourse you can add rava as your side variety but cannot capture whole menu of rava , also include idli , meduvada and all those things And pricing is also toooo much over priced, should be more reasonable , if you are increasing price because of amul cheese please add normal mozzarella cheese like all other restaurants it also taste good only Hope this review helps the restaurant owner and the people visiting there As i went with two of friends for birthday pary seeing that reel but after coming we were unsatisfied and...

I am surprised at all the 4 and 5 star reviews . This is not an authentic south Indian dosa place and they don't shy away from telling that to you. This is indeed a "Fancy" dosa place. Their sambar and surti ghotalo were good, yet far away from the real surti dosa varieties and their portion sizes. Sambar might not be well suited to a South India palette. Portions are extremely small for the price. Idli and Vada ( nothing fancy in them ) were below average. I don't think over a table spoon of batter goes into one dosa. The positive side is that dosas aren't oozing oil , so you can eat a few ( yeah easily ) . Decor and ambience is great, a bit understaffed. They will have to offer more for the price to retain a diner. P.S . The only chutney they serve is the coconut chutney.
Response to owner trying to belittle my original review:
You got my name wrong , surtified it just like the dosa perhaps ? You did not even understand the language in my review , I clearly stated that you don't shy away from staying it openly that's it's not an authentic dosa place and your comment just proved it. Your idlis and vadas were below average ( Below the $1 idlis sold at any SriLankan joint or Places like sarvana bhavan ) and I never suggested that you make them fancy, I see that you think beetroots n coriander makes idlis fancy, good to know, because that's what you do to the dosas perhaps ? You never had any comments on my feedback on lack of chutney varities or price points or portion sizes ? Because they were true .
Good luck . Being a restaurant owner this mockery attitude to an honest review sucks. You might not like every review , but you have to take it with a pinch of salt.
You have used the term authentic in the attached pictures - perhaps you should atleast now remove it, because it's contradicting...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at The Fancy Dosa House, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. Tucked away in a bustling neighborhood, this gem of a restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience that's hard to match elsewhere.
Let's start with the star of the show – the Surati Maisur Dosa. The chefs here certainly know their craft, as evidenced by the impeccable balance of spices and textures in every dish.
But the delights don't end there. The menu boasts an impressive array of dosa varieties, each more tempting than the last. From classic favorites to innovative creations, there's something to please every palate. One standout for me was the Veg Gotalo – a savory treat that left me craving for more.
Beyond the culinary delights, the ambience of The Fancy Dosa House adds to the overall experience. The decor is tastefully done, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that's perfect for a casual meal or a special occasion. Whether you're dining solo, with friends, or with family, you're sure to feel right at home here.
Of course, no dining experience is complete without excellent service, and The Fancy Dosa House delivers on that front as well. The servers are not only attentive and accommodating but also incredibly friendly. They go out of their way to ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional.
One of the highlights for me was the convenience of finding the restaurant, with ample parking available nearby. It's a small detail, but it certainly adds to the overall convenience and makes dining here a hassle-free experience.
In summary, if you're looking for a place to indulge in some of the best dosas in town, look no further than The Fancy Dosa House. With its delectable cuisine, inviting ambience, and top-notch service, it's a culinary destination worth visiting time...
