Had a very unfortunate experience with this restaurant. Have ordered from them a few times and loved their pizza. Ordered again last weekend and the pizza crust was so soggy and undercooked it was terrible. We reheated the leftovers a few nights later and had to throw them out. Reheating for an additional 30 minutes did not solve the issue. It was horrible. I called and asked to speak with the owner or manager, and spoke with a nice lady. She informed me that they have had similar complaints and that she would let the owner know. I also sent them an email. I did receive an email back indicating there was nothing they could do for me as I ordered through skip the dishes and would have to lodge a complaint with them. I just find it hard to believe that a business owner would not take the time to contact someone personally when there is a known issue with their current crust recipe (this is what I was told). I mentioned that I wanted to speak with the owner so I wouldn't have to leave a negative review, but I haven't rec'd a call after reaching out to them a few times.
Casa De Mario reached out to me and have offered me a food credit even though they told me I had to deal with Skip the Dishes. I so appreciate this kind gesture as Skip the Dishes have not responded to my emails. Thank you Casa De Mario! We are grateful for...
Read moreSorry but I'm exceedingly disappointed in the food in Vernon and how clearly everything tastes like a bland nothing. This wasn't a donair and certainly not tzaziki sauce. I think all these restaurants need to go travel and actually taste what this all is supposed to actually taste like and learn how to cook what they are serving you. It is very disappointing and all it would take is to actually go to authentic places that serve the real deal and learn from that. I feel most of these restatement need to travel to taste the real deal and learn how to actually make what they are serving. We should aspire to serve authentic good tasting food that one would take pleasure in paying for. Sadly this was anything but authentic and the recipe needs to change. It would be great having real Tzaziki sauce to begin with and to experience eating a real Turkish donair. It's not about the saltiness it's about the taste and making it taste like an authentic Turkish donair. This just tasted like veggies in a pita, nothing you can't do at home. I will say that the owners are lovely people and I hope that perhaps they will aspire to creating a real donair...
Read moreWhile walking our dog, my son and I stopped in at Farm House Pizza . It was my son's suggestion to order pizza there instead of our stand-by; Domino's. We ordered 3 large pizzas to be picked up after we finished our walk. Two of my sons drove and picked up our order; a Meat-lovers, a Hawaiian and a Buffalo-chicken. The very first thing that I noticed was the aroma .....OMG.....The second thing was the actual weight of the pizzas, at least double the weight of a similar Domino's pizza. Third the crust, it was hand made and very flavourful , not air filled and tasteless. As for the topping , WOW! there was no more room to squeeze anything else on.......no wonder the pizzas weighed so much. Bottom-line , I will never buy a corporate pizza again and will only spend my hard earned money supporting this local family run Pizzaria . ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC...
