Went there today for lunch as a friends bday. $5 pints of Canadian includes tax. Gotta say best draft I have had in along time as the mugs ice cold. Nothing better than an ice cold beer. It was wings special starting at 1:00 pm.85 cents each and one order often equates to $8.50. Gotta say well worth it as these are not the anorexic wings these are plump and full of meat. We had the sauce on the side as like to control how much we like . Service was very good. Definitely will go back on wing Wednesday as can’t beat the price or quality of the wings .
Ok went to trivia on Oct 17 th and the waitress we had was horrible right from the start. She was not pleased that we moved a table to accommodate 8 . She was not friendly at all. Took the drink orders and one person asked for water ice and limes which she did not bring and we had to ask twice before it was delivered. She never came back to myself the whole time to ask if I wanted another drink and several others had to call her over to ask for another drink. Needless to say we will not ever sit in her section again. We did complain the the manager a few days later but it felt like the complaint fell on deaf ears.
Went back a few days later for drinks after pickle ball and our server Amanda was awesome. Friendly and attentive and certainly made up for the poor service we had the other nite. We will sit in her section from now. Food was good,...
Read moreI have been going to Longhorn Pub consistently for the past four years.
It has become the most popular pub in Vernon. It became the home of karaoke on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Pandemic notwithstanding, it is always -very- busy on karaoke nights. There have been multiple times where I have gone home right away because I can't get a seat anywhere or I can't hear the person two feet away from me because it is so busy.
It has also been the home for Tremendous Trivia on Tuesday nights for about five years too. Sometimes I have been competing against fifteen teams. These nights have been extremely packed over the years too.
Longhorn tends to skew towards the older demographic in the community. Longhorn is for the older crowd (generally). The Green is for people in their late 20s/30s The Kal is for the 19 and early 20 somethings.
Nachos are great. Most of the staff is friendly. There have only been a couple experiences with rude staff members over the years, and I don't see either employee working there anymore. Prices are reasonable for food and drinks.
Like many places, Longhorn is currently understaffed due to pandemic, and it still draws a very loyal and core crowd on top of the less frequent customers so it has more customers than they can handle.
I know people who love coming here for lunch time such as my uncle for special occasions. It's very chill then and has a much older...
Read moreThis pup has gone down the pooper in the last 6 7 months. It's lost its luster for a clientele and has gotten rid of all of its good waitresses and bartenders. My experience was horrible as we ordered wings and they were so fatty that you couldn't even swallow them and when I brought them home to air fry them they still were garbage. Also got nachos that were absolutely disgusting and greasy and when they were to be sent back they gave me a dirty look and was huffy and puffy about it. The new staff there are not approachable nor are they people orientated the bartender screamed at me when I had a toe over the threshold to her bar to get a broom and dustpan for a mess that I had made. In the past this wasn't a problem with someone made a mess and one of the patients wanted to help tidy up to keep the waitresses going they said thank you. We've gone there a couple more Saturdays since ordered more food and it is so expensive now it's ridiculous not to mention the food does not match the pricing. The quality has gone down absolutely atrociously. It is so dead there on karaoke nights which was the nights that I like to go out we will be going all the way to Armstrong now for karaoke and enjoy some good food with decent prices and good and...
