So, you're looking at a review for Papa Johns Vernon, wondering "What does Papa Johns have that competing pizza restaurants don't have?" Well, besides it's location, not a whole lot
Papa Johns Vernon is the only chain pizza place located in the Western half of Vernon. For the residents, it provides a closer restaurant than competitors.
Being a chain restaurant, Papa Johns provides pretty similar product to that of their competitors. 10,12, and 14 inch pizzas, wings, bread sticks, cheese sticks, and common deserts such as Brownies, Cookies, and a Cinnamon Bun desert. Pretty Average
Like similar chain restaurants, Papa Johns pizza dough is not made fresh in store, but is instead trucked in and stored on site in a walk-in refrigerator. Meats, Cheeses, and deserts are also trucked in, naturally. Papa Johns provides fresh vegetables, such as mushrooms, green peppers, onions, and tomatoes, all prepared on site. Papa Johns does not however, provide some common sides that competing restaurants offer, such as Salads, and Pasta.
Pizza Quality has also varied, with many people highly unsatisfied with the quality, and some very satisfied. I personally have had both good, and bad orders. Unfortunately, consistency doesn't seem to be a thing at this restaurant. Some examples of inconsistency include, but are not limited to: Dry dough, lack of toppings, too many toppings, very little sauce, too much sauce, and time inconsistencies. As with all businesses, it is run by humans, and mistakes do occur, especially with new hires.
So, is the quality worth the price? I'd like to quickly compare Papa Johns with competing Vernon locations. For this purpose, I will be using a large pepperoni pizza. (This is excluding delivery charges, and includes Tax) At Papa Johns, a large pepperoni pizza will cost you $17.31 At Panago Pizza, a large pepperoni pizza will cost you $17.59 At Domino's Pizza, a large pepperoni pizza will cost you $16.79 At Pizza Hut, a large pepperoni pizza will cost you $20.99 At Jim's Place, a large pepperoni pizza will cost you $18.85
As you can see, you can purchase a Large Pepperoni Pizza for less money at Domino's, as well as purchasing higher quality pizza, for relatively the same price from Panago Pizza.
So should you spend your hard earned money at this Restaurant? If you have never ordered from Papa John's before, but are considering it, I would recommend looking elsewhere; however, their location does provide convenience for those who are located in the western half of Vernon.
Finally, for those who prefer to spend local, Papa Johns is an American Owned Company, and many local (and arguably better) options exist in town.
With all this in mind, I give Papa Johns Vernon a Three out of Five, or in other terms, an Average Chain Pizza Restaurant.
Keeping It Simple Review -Barely Vegetarian/Vegan Friendly -Not as many options as other locations -Located in a part of town that other competitors are not -Inconsistent (as of this review, based on my experience, and...

Read moreThis is a terrible place! Last night hubby & I decided to try Papa John’s for first time. We ordered the promo special 4 topping large. When we received our pizza it was missing a topping that I really enjoy. We requested a new pizza with all of the toppings. When we received the new pizza it had badly burned crust, we suspect the staff took the original pizza threw some peppers on it & returned it to the oven. The staff did not want to offer a solution. Three people working on a very dead night, we were the only customers. 2 people could not figure out how to refund my money they had to call in the 3rd. I will never return, you get what you pay for! We left & went to Jim’s, more $$ but always an amazing pizza & great...
