Cheez-Us Pizza — Restaurant in Waterloo

Let's start off. This pizza is amazing.. Owner is amazing, and quality of place and pizza amazing.. I try to eat at the best pizza places when I travel around Ontario. But live here in KW. 😁 Lot of pizzas are just, blah .. same old..

But here come this new place...

WOW... Crust, sauce and just everything was amazing.. Top knotch quality and taste I was definitely not expecting.. 😁

Crust is fluffy but has a nice crisp bottom...

Cheese is real and top knotch..

Toppings.WOW.. expecially the cup and char peporoni.. 😁

I must say out of almost all the places I have over Ontario, this is tied for my top #1 spot.. And trust me, that is hard for any pizza place to even get close to my number 1 spot.. I'm very picky..

Wow, just wow this place is amazing..

Man I got some AMAZING news.. To all the CHICAGO PIZZA LOVERS..

Cheez-Us PIZZA NOW HAS...... REAL CHICAGO DEEP DISH.

When I 1st visited them to try my thick crist pizza... I talked to the awesome owner for awhile.. Told him I loved his amazing pizza and was on par for taste with my other #1 pizza place...

I told him the other place I loved so much because they had the best Chicago Pizza ever... without going to actual Chicago..

But...

Had to drive to Hamilton to get it.. And with gas prices now, the pizza in end cost $$$😅

As we talked , he pulled me aside and said he was working on a Chicago Pizza. And showed me a prototype..

Man, from the picture, my eyes bugged out and I wanted it NOW... It looked even better than Hamilton place...

He offered to have me test it one day soon..

So the next week I called him up and begged to try it.. And to his word, he did just that..

It takes aprox 1/2 hour to bake and uses almost a full block of cheese.. 😁 😁

All toppings are inside pizza, as it has a lid that goes on top and more sauce on lid.. Real Chicago Pizza folks.. 😁 😁

When I got the box with pizza in it... And I lifted the box, I instantly had a huge smile on my face... It was damn heavy like a Chicago Pizza should be..

I then opened box... and......... WOW WOW WOW WOW amd WOW ..

What I saw was pure perfection... The Chicago Pizza looked WAY better in person than his prototype photo he showed me.. My eyes get even larger.. and I wanted to eat right then...

I rushed home. cracked open box.. And tried to pick up slice... It actually held its shape.. Awesome..

I took the 1st bite... And...... EXPLOSION OF TASTE.. My gosh... this is the best Chicago Pizza in Ontario I have EVER tasted..

Cheese pouring from inside, sauce on outside with insance flavour, crust was light, fluffy, but bottom as crisp...

Just amazing...

Call ahead as it take 1/2 to bake... And let me tell you.. it's worth the price they are charging... And more.. 😁

Drove by this place yesterday (looks like it just opened) and decided to give it a try. Ended up chatting a bit with the owner and got some of his back-story as someone who wanted to try some new things at other pizza places but kept getting turned down so he decided to open his own pizza shop where he can try what he wants.

Went for the chicken bacon alfredo pizza with a friend of mine. It was amazing. Every part of it was on-point. Very generous amount of delicious toppings. The sauce was amazing, had the perfect consistency (not watery or overly thick) and blended just right with the crust below it and the cheese above it. Even the red onions, which I’m normally not a fan of but which fit in just right here, had that not-too-crunchy not-too-soft quality it’s hard to get right.

You might think it’s weird for them to open up just across the street from another pizza place, but they’re going for something different. This isn’t the cheap, basic, “I’m a broke, hungry student at 2am and need some greasy goodness” pizza you go to the other place for. This is the “I’m willing to spend a few bucks more for some truly masterful food” pizza you won’t get at any of the chain restaurants.

This is now the golden standard for pizza in Waterloo. I defy anyone to...

Let me begin with that I have the worst appetite now that I am limited of what I can eat without being nauseous. I just got off work around 4:00pm, got an ultra sound done and then ordered a pizza, took 15minutes max and was fresh and hot. Let me tell you, for what I got and the price I paid, this is my number one pizza place now. I am not huge of pizza but I loved this location. Without the ultra sound around the corner, I wouldn’t have noticed this place. I suggest posting it publicly on social media, it was so delicious and filled my stomach.

When I entered the store the workers were all busy making pizzas, but I was confused at the menu and wanted something small. The boss came and explained the menu and showed me some specials, I got the $11.99 medium pizza and felt full after a few slices. Pineapple, spicy pepperoni and regular pepperoni, was delicious.

Thank-you for this night, you made it very well and I was extremely happy with my tastebuds and wait time. I will return and definitely share this...
