Food was great and really friendly service. There is way more selection of Korean BBQ and the price is amazing. You get way more selection than any other Korean BBQ places for a lot less. Speaking from experience and the drive is pleasant not too traffic compared to driving to scarborough in Toronto or downtown Toronto. Take really long of a drive more than a hour for sure. And it is a lot easier to drive in Waterloo the highway is bigger and a less vehicles not too stressful to drive and has some amazing views of the country side and nice huge houses to see. There is a lot of highway changes coming from Hamilton but it is worth the drive and nice scenery. I will take that rather than the drive going to Toronto. Never really gotten used to driving it even though been driving there hundreds of times. Can’t imagine how people choose to live there. Too busy and ridiculously expensive too crowded not laidback at all and no nice scenery. But nothing beats Calgary the drive is way way better than anything I’ve seen. The view are postcard worthy it is absolutely stunning can’t believe that it is really definitely a wow factor could drive forever and get lost in the amazing scenery. Definitely go to Busan won’t be disappointed a the price is can’t beat it . Came there for lunch but ordered the dinner menu, which is served all day. Dinner usually is a bit pricey compared to lunch but it is worth it . After getting our bill me and my wife were both shocked at what we paid for. Normally when we go to a Korean BBQ easily $100 for the both of us and that doesn’t include gratuity but at Busan it is already included with the meal. We got more choices for half the price and really enjoyed the experience. We only ordered 1 batch basically ordered 1 item each on the menu to try we only managed to go through 1 order each and got sooo stuffed compared to other places we at least go through 2x the entire menu ordering almost the entire menu selection. The place may need a bit of a renovation to modernize a bit to be honest but is it not too shabby after all. It is nice and clean and bigger than Toronto Korean BBQ but Toronto is modern and up to date which makes dining a bit more pleasant and upscale. But if they would modernized the place a bit they will get more clientele for sure just don’t hike the price ridiculously expensive. Keep the price better at a reasonable price that would win more repeat customers with amazing reviews. Keep the price low but the profit sky high. It is a win win for Busan and with put this restaurant on the map. Waterloo will be flooded by big city snobs. Small town is aint that bad it for sure bring a big punch with its charm without noticing big city folks will make you want to move to small city for damn sure. Relax atmosphere anywhere you go and a more friendly people for sure which is the Canadian thing I loved the most. That’s why I don’t like going to the country under Canada . Where people I find rude not approachable too arrogant, can’t be trusted majority of the people to the point that it is not comfortable experience. Can’t enjoy your trip anymore because of the people that is I missed home Canada, where friendly people and polite. Can have a good conversation with random people that really makes your day nice at feel really comfortable. That’s is why if i can avoid travelling to the US i will , but other countries I am more than willing to visit for sure, been in quite a few countries outside of Canada and enjoyed it more than the trip to the US . The cities in the US is not as clean that really is not enjoyable. They have nice places no doubt but it is not the place that make the trip to remember is the fun that the people make you really admire and enjoy the trip. For me it is true i would be in a worse place with amazing group of friends and family rather that be in a luxurious place but with people that are not nice and uncomfortable. Having an amazing memories with the people you love is priceless and worth telling to the next generation, never gets...
Read moreI want to love this place but there is one issue that keeps me from it. The service. The concept of the Korean BBQ is you order all your food by checking off the food items you want and leaving the order slip on the table for pick up. All food is served raw and you BBQ it yourself at the table. I have eaten at many Korean BBQs in larger cities and it can be a fun experience especially with a group of friends. At this establishment, at which I have visited at least a dozen or more times now, I have experienced between just OK and terrible service. After several bad experiences with the service, I have observed that the wait staff often appear to have no assigned tables or roles. They all buzz around randomly lighting BBQs, picking up slips, delivering food and picking up empty food trays. In this chaos, our order slips have often sat on the table and been ignored until you flag the staff down. Once they have the order slip there is no guarantee you will get your order and several times we have waited 15 to 20 minutes only to find out on asking that our slip never made it to the kitchen and we would have to fill out another. Even when the kitchen gets your order, there is no guarantee you will get what you requested. Now for the food. It is always served raw and I feel they have a generous menu selection and the food has always been good. Finally, the ambience. Given the fact that it is open concept with no sound barriers it is often quite loud. Also, due to all the indoor BBQs at each table it is generally smokey and your clothes will smell when you leave. This is not a place to go for a quiet or romantic evening out. This is a place to go for a fun, loud, group experience with lots of disorganized, buzzing around staff. My last ambiance comment (minor and funny) is that they put their Christmas decorations up a few years ago and have never taken them down. So along with the fun, loud, group experience with lots of disorganized staff buzzing around, add in Christmas...

My trip to "Busan" "Korean" BBQ was by far the worst restaurant experience I have ever had.
I was excited to try out a seemingly legitimate K-BBQ restaurant, but I was let down to a degree that I did not know was possible.
The "restaurant" does not offer authentic Korean BBQ. No aspect of the experience here is indicative of Korean BBQ; the grill, the side dishes, the cuts and types of meat, the vegetables, and the rice (and more) are as distant as they can be from what you should expect from a real Korean BBQ restaurant.
By the end of the "meal", which mostly consisted of complaining about the horrible smelling meat, the non-existent service, and the terrible grill with a nonadjustable flame, I felt personally attacked that the restaurant was named "Busan". Seriously! How dare they insult the beautiful city, my family's hometown, by taking its name and slapping it on their unauthentic, disgusting, and pitiful dumpster of a restaurant?
If you want Korean BBQ, look somewhere else. If you want to eat nasty-smelling, unauthentic, and overpriced meat along with Chinese rice and instant miso soup, go right ahead.
I genuinely want to meet the owner of the place (who is most certainly not Korean) and ask: you do know that your restaurant is not a K-BBQ restaurant, right? Please, if you have even a gram of respect for Korean people and their cuisine, re-brand your place and do not call it...
