Cafe C'est si bon — Restaurant in West Vancouver

I'd had my eye on this Cafe C'est Si Bon for quite awhile, ever since I heard of its opening. Finally got around to trying it. We ordered a pecan caramel financier, an Ispahan, a coffee flavored Basque style cheesecake, a Strawberry hot chocolate and a hot Milk Tea.

We enjoyed our drinks. My daughter said her Strawberry Hot Chocolate was tasty and we were tickled pink with the cute dog that was drawn on top of her hot chocolate. The food however, was a bit of a hit and miss.

Grandma said the financier was OK. Doesn't sound like it was anything special. We loved the Ispahan. If I were to come back here, I would order the Ispahan again. The Basque style cheesecake had a nice coffee flavor; however, I felt that the texture could have been improved. Perhaps thawing it for awhile before serving it might have improved the texture but as it was, I found it a bit more dense than I'd have liked it.

From what we tried I would probably only come back for the drinks and Ispahan; however, there were a number of items that were running low or completely sold out. Maybe they might be better stocked and have better selection for us if we go back another time.

Nice and quiet cafe tucked away- almost hidden from busy marine drive. Bought a box of canele ($39 for 9 ) and three desserts, and matcha latte- total about $70+ as take out. But they won't give you a bag to carry them lol. Stunned for a sec then i asked for a bag. Told it's 50 cents per paper bag. Never been to a cafe or any other places where you buy stuff and not given a bag to carry all. Didn't even want to argue so I tapped my card again for 50 cents. Cakes were okay, cannele okay and matcha latte was great but not going to bother visiting them again.

Thanks for the reply- and explanation regarding the bag policy. Yes, it would be nice if it is explained first and asked to purchase a bag when someone orders more...

Ordered a bunch of items to go and had some dessert and drink for dine in. It’s a very beautiful establishment. Dessert and drink are good.

I only had an issue here when I ordered, the barista didn’t try to confirm what I ordered, so he got the order wrong. Then I corrected him and paid again for the missing item. When we left, barista gave us the to go order and I didn’t check. When I came home, it turned out that I was short one cake roll. Not a big deal, but I would appreciate it if the barista could be more mindful at work as clearly from the beginning to the end, I knew he wasn’t paying attention.
