Win's Eatery — Restaurant in Whitchurch-Stouffville

For a recent dinner with old friends, one of them suggested we go to Win's Eatery in Stouffville for some good Chinese food. Really? Stouffville? Chinese food?

Surprise, surprise! Win's Eatery certainly delivered on authentic Chinese food that tasted really good! It's a modest place that was bright, clean, and had great, friendly service.

Here's what we had: • Squid with Spicy Salt • Stuffed Boneless Chicken • Fish Fillet with Vegetables • Pork Belly with Vegetables • Pork with Peking Sauce • Mixed Vegetables • Broccoli with Beef • Cantonese Fried Noodles • Green Bean Dessert

There were lots of dishes on the menu that appealed to us and we ended up ordering more than we could finish. It was all really good and there were no clear favourites!

The Stuffed Boneless Chicken was a special dish that had to be ordered in advance. As the name suggests, it was a whole chicken, deboned and stuffed with flavoured rice. It was pretty good.

The Pork Belly dish was another specialty that you won't find on their regular menu. Make sure you ask for this one. It was...

We're from Toronto and accustomed to high quality Chinese restaurants. We happened to be visiting the area on a Sunday afternoon and ended up at Win's, hoping it would compare favourably to the restaurants we're used to. It did.

When we entered, the server, Tammy, greeted us at the door and immediately we felt welcomed and comfortable. She explained the menus to us and was able to arrange a substitution for my dish, which a lot of servers can't be bothered doing. I was thankful.

The food was very good, and the presentation was beautiful. My only suggestion would be to include a bit more tofu and broccoli in the dishes because they're the main part of the meal. Nonetheless, I was extremely satisfied with my meal.

Because I'm sensitive to noise I did find the restaurant a bit loud, but it's the fault of the owners. They have a few big tables and it appears that large groups of family and friends frequent here, which, although a bit noisy, is...

We used to eat at their restaurant when they were in Markham but that place is no longer the same after changed hand. So glad to find them back here in Stouffville! Food is even better than before, less greasy, less batter, no/less msg! Extremely friendly excellent service, they remembered our name from calling for reservation and been calling us by name since. We were busy eating and forgot to take pics, but we especially like the sweet & sour pork, lobster with scallion ginger and special order of oysters with pepper sauce. Actually all dishes were very good. Only thing is we wish they can slice more pieces of duck for the peking duck wrap from it. We took the rest of duck home instead of having it for a second dish as we love to make vermicelli at home with it and still lots of skin and meat on it.
