Went there tonight to take my wife out for supper and it was very disappointing. Got seated, menus and water. Asked if we would like anything else to drink. I ordered a Long Island Icetea and got a regular Icetea. Told our server my wife has a shelfish allergy she asked how severe? Told her one touch and we will be in the hospital! it was very apparent that she was not at all knowledgeable regarding allergies, even though their menu states that we could mention allergy concerns to the staff. So we asked to speak to the manager. To our surprise, she said that she was the manager! my wife said to her that she didnt even try to accomondate, and her response was that she could, possibly, ask the cook to wash his hands before preparing the food!!! I'm sorry but we are out of there and never coming back. If there was a way to post this without even one star, i would have.
Thank you for your reply. You obviously have taken the time to review what your assurances should have been. At the time, though, you merely hemmed and hawed, and had zero confidence behind your suggestions. Regardless, after leaving your restaurant, we dined at another local BUSY restaurant (which served seafood by-the way) and we were served with assurances and respect. Even though we had to wait for a table to be cleared and every other table was occupied, they took the time, and had the professionalism and knowledge to ensure that our dining experience was wonderful and safe despite my wife’s severe allergies. You could take some suggestions from Mountain Steak and pizza and hopefully your next patron with allergies will have a more enjoyable dining experience in your restaurant. But no, it...

My first experience was awful, but more than a year ago, so I wanted to give another chance. It was just as bad if not worse than the first time. No idea how there are high ratings here, worst Mr. Mikes meal I’ve ever had, and probably worst steakhouse meal overall.
Ordered 5 dishes- one appy, 4 mains. Mash potatoes were the highlight. Mains were roughly $35/. Mom’s Seafood pasta was extremely fishy. Nephew and partner had steak. Both steak were incredibly tough, and one was overdone. Carrots seemed day old and hard in the centre. Chimmichurrie was aweful, was only a tablespoon anyway. The meal said it came with onion rings, it came with exactly 2 sad old onion rings. My “kick ass” salad was decent, nice fresh greens, but the tomatoes were old and the server messed up the sauce order so I had to toss it myself after. Missing ingredients (cabbage).
The drinks were awful. The Caesar was watered down and the rim was put on a wet glass so it melted all down the glass and couldn’t be enjoyed. We ordered two sangria that tasted like pop, not wine, and the fruit was frozen berries that tasted like they had been left in the bar drying for a week. Not bourbon soaked.
This was a waste of a meal and everyone was disappointed. The young server said it was her first day, but the kitchen...
Read moreI grew up with one of the original Mr Mike's. Mike's burgers are my favorite. If you want to emulate a good Mr Mike's check Prince George or Terrace B.C.
Now today we went in for lunch, a table of 6 already served and awaiting their check. That's the only people on the family side during lunch.
We waited at the door then wandered in the. Realized we need menus, so we thought we had to seat ourselves with menus and cutlery at the door. We (2) were seated and left waiting, before we were acknowledged by another server. Then we waited and waited. I even said to my son we are leaving in 3 mins. Keep in mind this has been my favorite restaurant since I was a kid. Not this location, but the restraunt. I only gave the restraunt 1 star because I cannot score a zero. The food was great, but I shouldn't be waiting for 2 Mike burgers and a pop for 1.5 hours at noon. Sorry to say Whitecourt, I will not return to your restaurant...
