Road House Pub and Grill — Restaurant in Whitecourt

I don’t usually write google reviews but my experience here was so awful I had to. I would give negative stars for the service I received if I could.

Worst service I have ever had. Did not ask us what we wanted to drink when we were seated either. Waited for the server to take our order politely for 20 minutes. I then stood up from my table and said excuse me to the waiter expecting her to come over and ask us what we needed. Instead she ignored me and walked away. 5 minutes later she was out again asking if this older couple was finished with their meal. I stood up again and said “could we have our order taken?” And she gave me an extremely dirty look. I was not impressed at all. I sat and waited for 35 minutes before I finally decided to walk out because I felt like I was not going to be served. It was not busy either.

Food was terrible. Charged us for everything. No seasoning in the burger Pattie’s. Plain. I sent my burger back because it was gross & instead of making me a brand new one, they just made me a new bun which took 10 mins. Charged us to put fresh fries on my plate ($5!). Instead of offering a brand new burger they just gave me back what I hadn’t eaten. Server said she didn’t want to give us a new burger as we would have been charged. 🤦‍♀️ Chocolate milk was rancid and/or absolutely disgusting & still got charged. And the kid lemonades were $3! And in small cups. Kids drinks weren’t part of the kids menu? $2.50 for a can of pop! (Which I didn’t know when ordered for my kiddo that It was coming in a can to begin with). Onion rings tasted exactly like they were from a McCains bag. No flavor. Such a bummer.

So all in all. Very disappointed. No customer service for having issues with the food and drink. We won’t be back unfortunately. Def...

I usually get breakfast here and it’s amazing. Tonight, the Food was sub-par.

Really disappointed in the quality of my meal.

Steak (tough and over cooked), potatoes (not evenly cooked), garlic bread ( not garlicky, not buttery, dry like a crouton), vegetables were cold. I really tried hard to find a part of this meal that was pleasurable.

Starter Hamburger Soup was good. Service was good. Chef/owner went back on our deal for a discount.
