Green Gables Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Whitecourt

This place is great! I tried to gobto Mr Mike's but they were closed for what ever reason (no note as to why on the door) so I tried this place out. I still got my steak I wanted, and the food was of better quality in my opinion, at 1/2 the price. I got a starter salad, steak, seasoned veggies and mashed potatoes for under $30 after taxes. The steak was double the size of what I would have gotten at the other place and came with fried mushrooms (which most places charge extra for). It has a real home cooked style that was filling i couldnt finish my plate and the gentleman who was my server (I think he was the owner) was great company to chat with as well, making it a very welcoming atmosphere. 10/10 recommend and will be my go to for a steak dinner when my work sends me to...

I've tried every restaurant in Whitecourt in the past 4 months, I'm incredibly sad, that I did not find this place sooner, they use actual meats, veggies, salads...I was nearly in tears sitting down to a real home cooked meal by the most amazing people, such friendly helpful staff, the meal was a full size meal with all the side trimmings included, the prices are perfect for the amount of food you get, I had the hamburger steak, it was huge, I had shrimp cocktail which was perfectly made and very clean and I grabbed a Ceasar, it was perfectly spiced, hooked up my laptop, watched some videos and ate a perfect meal dining in April 5th 2021...best dine in restaurant experience...

Food was bland, and quite tasteless. My teen kids full size order spaghetti was over cooked and bowl full of water on both orders. One tried but couldn’t eat it (couldn’t) and the other choked hers down as much as she could. Absolutely was NOT worth $75 for two orders of spaghetti and one order of ribs... I had ribs, they were nothing to write home about that is for sure but edible. Our waitress was excellent though.
