Update Oct 2025: I order from this restaurant almost weekly and I wanted to update this review quickly just to say how awesome this place is. The quality never wavers and you can expect whichever dish you like to come consistently the way they make it.
I would encourage people to try these fries, they are fantastic, thicker than usual cut, but well done and so soft on the inside. If you make yourself a turkey, or a roast on Sunday, get these fries and have them with your gravy on Monday! Also the wings are great, it's not the standard "franks hot", it's got some eastern-inspired spices in there and you can see the chili flakes.
Lastly it has taken me until tonight to work my way back to Shawarma and try the Chicken Shawarma. Wow! I am blown away right now. I got mine with extra sauce and extra pickled turnips (the pink things) and I ate this so fast because it was so good. TRY THE CHICKEN SHAWARMA!
It was pretty empty inside so if you too like this place, I encourage you to show them your support!

I have ordered from here 4 times now since opening and every order has been great! They have the best french fries this side of the city, and I will continue ordering from this restaurant, just to hopefully keep these fries around! They are perfectly deep golden brown, and thick cut so they still have a bite in the middle. Also, with the thick cut fries, they don't get all weird if you can't eat them all and want to save a few for later. Also, look at that poutine, wow!
With the chicken, I have tried both the chicken fingers and the chicken burger (pictured here), and they are both HOMEMADE HANDBREADED, with almost a cornflake style breading. Admittedly could use a bit more seasoning but they are very good and i will definitely be ordering both again.
I think the chicken burger was a standout for me because of the very fresh lettuce, and the pickle, bun, mayo combination was perfect with the well sized and homemade chicken burger.
I had the beef shawarma once and it was surprisingly just ok seeing as it seems what this place would be known for, and I will try the chicken shawarma next.
Great job Aladins, happy you are in our neighbourhood!

Read moreI visited the new Aladin’s location today to try out their food. As always, the food quality was excellent like their other location, and I have no complaints in that regard. However, I was quite disappointed with the service I received from the front desk staff.
I went there for a take-out order, and before placing it, I asked if there were any special offers available. The staff member informed me that the only special was the "Pizza of the Day." Since I wasn’t interested in that particular option, I ordered something else and paid the full amount.
Later, while browsing the restaurant owner's official Facebook account to see any promotions, I discovered that there is a 20% discount on all take-out orders on Mondays and Tuesdays. This was not mentioned to me at the time of ordering, despite my inquiry about any ongoing specials. When I brought this to the staff member's attention, she insisted there was no such offer for this location. Only after I showed her the Facebook post did she respond, but, rather casually, that she was unaware of it.
I found this quite unprofessional. If someone is handling customer orders, they should be well-informed about current promotions. When I asked how the extra amount I had paid would be addressed, she simply offered me a drink as compensation. I found this response both inappropriate and inadequate, especially given the situation. She did not even apologize; another staff member eventually did.
While I continue to appreciate Aladin's food, experiences like this—especially at a new location—can leave a poor impression. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I believe customer service should match the high standard...
Read morePizza was good. But the service dissapointing.
I ordered online, planning for a quick pick up. However, when we arrived, there were no signs of our pizza. Apparently, no one even started to cook it, so we had to sit and wait for 15 more minutes. So, our plans for a quick meal were kind of ruined.
Next, while we waited, the lady from the counter came and started to offer my kid to look at the dessert menu. First of all - I didn not have plans to buy dessert. Second - I am not a fan of desserts they have on the menu; we simply do not eat these things. Third - seriously, you are talking to a kid over his mom's head? The kid has to decide if his mom should or should not spend money on his desserts? The lady was persistent, and I had to repeat 2 or 3 times that we did not need anything.
And finally, when we were leaving, I noticed the banner in the corner, saying that they offer 20% off every Monday and Tuesday. Today is Tuesday. But of course, no one mentioned that I was eligible for a discount, they charged me the full amount.
I do not think I...
