I came in around 12:10 with family, and we placed our order by 12:20 — just three fairly basic dishes, nothing complicated. No one gave us any indication of a wait, and we weren't in a rush at the time. But by 1:00, we still hadn’t received any food or warning that it was taking longer than expected. At that point, I got up and asked about it. A staff member (who looked like the manager) said it would be “right out,” but another 15 minutes passed and still nothing.
Eventually, the waitress came back and said, “Sorry, a big table came in,” and asked if we were in a rush and wanted our food boxed instead. I said yes, since I had to get back to work — and by then, we had already been waiting well over an hour. That excuse might’ve made sense if we hadn’t watched another table of six (who arrived after us) get all of their food well before we even asked about ours.
Then we waited even longer for our boxed meals to come out. Spoiler: they never did. After more wasted time, we left with absolutely nothing.
It was clear something went wrong — maybe our order wasn’t punched in, maybe we were just forgotten about entirely. Either way, no one communicated anything to us unless we asked, and even then, what we were told didn’t line up. No apology. No check-in. No one even offered a refill on my iced tea, which sat empty for most of our wait. If the kitchen is backed up, the least you can do is offer a drink top-up and keep guests in the loop.
I’ve worked in the service industry for over 10 years. I get it — big tables come in, kitchens fall behind. But the most important part of hospitality is communication, and there was absolutely none here. I would never let a table sit for over an hour without food and say nothing. The waitress also missed out on what would’ve been at least a 20% tip — my dad, who was paying for the meal, has also worked in the service industry and was just as disappointed.
This was a rare chance for me to have lunch with family I don’t see often — I’m extremely busy and work two jobs — so I’m disappointed to say the least. We left frustrated, still hungry, and honestly shocked at the lack of basic service....
Read moreJust adding with Jaskaran's comment. SAME! DON'T EVEN WANNA GIVE ONE STAR. We went there because we really liked this restaurant's food and customer service earlier. We never faced any issues before. But, yesterday it was terrible. That lady was annoying as hell. She did even respond with YES! We went there for a birthday party to spend some quality time with our loved ones- but she ruined our day.
When we entered, a lady allotted us a table right behind that bar in there, didn't feel really good there, so we asked that overly- healthy lady very politely, (wish I knew her name) if we can change our table. She replied - IT'S DIRTY! We asked her if she can get that table cleaned for us. She just walked away without replying anything. After a long wait, the table we asked for was cleaned up. She came again, without our permission, she just jumped into our personal space for shifting cutlery from our previous table to new one. No idea, if her hands were clean because soon after we observed her eating food in between her shift. Anyhow, we shifted our table, we needed some time to select food from menu, but she came instantly and we asked her to give us some time as we were deciding. We decided what we wanna order and waited for her for long period. We even waved our hands for attention but no response, as she was busy eating her own food. When she was done with her food, without washing hands, she came and showed us bad attitude while taking our order, Didn't even reply or ask anything, just went back at her place and started eating food.
We stayed calm for so long but we got no more patience to bear her attitude and rudeness. Like, WHO IS SHE? That lady was so mannerless. Seemed like she was being racist. We left that restaurant even before getting our order and suggested her to be nice to her customers from next time!! (Date: March 14, 2023 Time:...
Read moreI will be leaving in detail my personal experience on every platform aside from this feedback. Sunday evening November 30th myself and my bf decided to try browns for the first time as we were celebrating something very special and we’re over the moon. Naturally we are an affectionate couple, we were exchanging kisses and holding hands at the table. We even sat next to each other rather than across . This was until a short Caucasian man came over and told us this was a family restaurant and to keep things PG 13 in nicer words. First of all I didn’t know it was a crime to kiss and hold my partner in public? Nor will I apologize for doing so! I was not aware or would I take my own child to browns as a family restaurant? We were so caught off guard as he did not make it discreet. The tables surrounding and beside us were all looking over at us. This felt so alienating. We were shocked embarrassed and upset that this kind of discrimination would even be acceptable. Our bill was 146$ or 143$ I paid in cash I also left an 18$ tip for the waitress. I will never return as I suppose couples in love or naturally affectionate are not welcome. I will be posting this to social media. I still can’t get over how poorly treated we were, and how rude the gentleman was. I would never recommend this a place or return after what happened. What a poor ending...
