CHICKEN CHEF — Restaurant in Winnipeg

This chicken chef has changed owners. It has been getting worse and worse. We used to be frequent visitors but this last time takes the Cake. The fries were cold. The chicken was cold. The gravy was completely cold like it had been sitting on the counter for hours. The fish has changed and it is not good at all. It now is triangle shape junk. You can buy from the store. The chicken skin tasted like fish. Had to peel it off to eat the inside. We had to ask for drink refills. The girl never came back and asked us if we needed anything else. When we complained about the fries being cold to start with, she told us that they were just taking them off our plate and putting them back in the deep fryer. Which kind of sounds gross to me There was four of us in our party and we were wondering why there was only three other people in the restaurant. Well we were there. Another person brought their food back saying it was cold from a takeout order. There was a skip the dishes guy that came back with a cold food. To top it off last time my mother ordered from here. The pizza had basically nothing on it. The chicken and fries were all soggy and cold. This has always been our go-to chicken place for many years. But let me tell you I will not be going back there with my family and I will be letting everybody I know how bad it is. I see a lot of posts...

​I am beyond disgusted with the experience I had at Chicken Chef on Main Street. This place has fallen off a cliff since my last visit. I went in today, excited for the meal I remembered from 2024, but what I got was a slap in the face. The wonderful, friendly service I used to receive is gone—replaced by slow, indifferent, and downright unfriendly staff. It was a complete night and day difference, and not in a good way. ​And the food? Oh, the food. It was an absolute travesty. I ordered the hot chicken sandwich, and the chicken was a rubbery, tasteless disaster. It was like chewing on an eraser. The bread, which should have been fresh and soft, was a dried-out, stale husk. It was clearly old and falling apart before I even took a bite. The fries came out cold and lifeless, as if they had been sitting out for an hour before being served. And the gravy—the one thing I always looked forward to—had absolutely no flavor. It was just a lukewarm, brownish liquid. ​This entire meal was a complete and utter failure, a painful reminder of how much this establishment has declined. I will never, ever be returning, and I will be telling everyone I know to stay far, far away. Save your money and your taste buds—this is no longer the Chicken Chef...

Update :As of Feb 22 no response of any kind from the restaurant or head office.. Bring back the original owners

Today Feb 6 I ordered a 2 pc chicken dinner and a 3 pc snack chicken dinner with medium gravy online for delivery at 5 pm from chicken chef 2569 main street. At 4.30 the food was delivered 30 minutes early. While I was preoccupied elsewhere my wife opened up the bag and stared plating , she than asked why did I order 6 pcs chicken and a  single fry  order? The medium gravy was right. I looked at the order receipt and it showed this order for another person and different order but  my bill was for what I ordered and charged $38.42...I phoned the restaurant on main Street telling them I recd the wrong order and was overcharged. I was missing an another order of fries, coleslaw and bun. The restaurant offered to del my order and pick up the wrong order . I said it was too late we have plated the food. I asked for a credit or a dinner in the future.  Long story short, I was offered a credit of $4.52...???...when i asked how i would collect this strange sum  I was told they would remember...this does not make for good customer service. We move on to...
