Capital Sweets And Restaurant — Restaurant in Winnipeg

We visited this place based on a few of the other reviews (someone noted that this was where the former Bengali Sweets owner opened up a new shop). We initially came in for takeaway samosas and sweets, but were lured into dinner by their appealing thali plate options (we ordered garlic naan to go with ours). We shared a badam milk and a mango shake. So refreshing and delicious!

The food was flavourful and nicely spiced. The rice was cooked well and seasoned. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The restaurant space was very clean and well maintained. Definitely had the sense of being a favourite haunt for those near and far.

I purchased food from here and when i brought it in home the samosas were giving very bad smell and i called to store and let them know that this is not fair. And they even didn’t took my concern seriously and told me at management will give you a call but no one called me. After trying one we felt sick. And have garbaged . I would like to recommend people please dont go to this restaurant with your kids and parents. We don’t now how they are preparing food and which oil they are using for preparing food. We had been coming here since last 3 weeks regularly on weekend. Yesterday, we ordered 2 cups of tea with prathas, and as usual requested sugar free. Both teas had sugar in it and so we didnt drink it. At the end during billing we requested not to pay for teas as that was clearly a mistake. The girl at the counter simply refused and was pretty adamant that teas were sugar free and that she had tasted it before, making it seem like we were lying! Very embarrassing.
