Came here on a weekday night and ordered take out. Very friendly chef! I ordered the cow foot meal, and my partner ordered the jerk chicken meal, and we got a patty and a bammy and a cornmeal pudding. The patty was delicious! The dough was a bit flakey and the filling was nicely spiced. The bammy was also very yummy, like a thinner fried cassava cake. The cow foot was curried and very flavourful. I've eaten several different animal's feet, and these were a bit of a stretch for me. I'd never had cow feet before, but I would order a meat dish next time, but I'm very glad I tried it. My partner said the jerk chicken had more than a mild amount of spice, which she enjoyed. The chicken was juicy and not too saucy. The rice and beans were delicious, especially with the sauce in the dish. The cornmeal pudding was yummy, we thought a bit dry, but maybe that's just the way it's supposed to be, never had before. The cake was firm like a Christmas pudding, and it was flavoured with some warming spices which were very nice. The icing was like a coconut icing from an oatmeal cake. Portions were massive. Price for all we ordered was around $70 before tip. Great value in my opinion. We will be back!

I've been anticipating the opening of this restaurant and love to support local especially Caribbean based black businesses. However I was quite disappointed. The rice and peas was dry and some grains were hard, not to mention the portion does not justify the price point. However, the chicken tasted very good, well seasoned and lots of flavor!

I usually love it here but it seems like lately they are adding less and less food to their take out orders, I got an ackee and salt fish today and it had no taste, no moisture, and it was almost half full for $10. I'm not impressed this time around and I'm pretty disappointed because I drive far to get this food.

Tried a new place (for us) today for lunch. D&M Caribbean Flava on Molson Street between Regent and Concordia. The dine in area is small, but brightly colored and very clean. They have a nice selection of breakfast and lunch/dinner options in regular and large sizes. I couldn't decide between the goat and the oxtail, so they gave me half of each. The goat was very good, and the oxtail - my first time trying it - was a big win! It's braised in a very rich, dark, slightly sweet gravy and was super tender. I had my choice of rice and beans, or 'festival' (which is in her words 'like a corn dog without the weiner'), or 'bammy', which is a deep fried cassava cake, which was amazing! Think big, chunky, cassava fries. My lovely wife had the rice and beans, which were top notch, and a Jamaican patty, which was good, but likely the same frozen ones you can buy at Dino's. Overall, really good, and we'll...

We just visited, I had the Small Jerk Chicken plate with Mash Potato and Potato Salad. My partner had the Jerk Chicken Sandwich with Fries.

We walked in, it’s a smaller more intimate location and the service was extremely friendly.

We waited about 20 minutes as they were making fresh Jerk Chivken, and boy - it did NOT disappoint. They have miraculously fluffy Mash Potato Salad- best I have had at a restaurant. The Potato Salad was really good, and the sauces that come with the dish were on point!

I tasted my partners dish and the sandwich was delicious, but I have to tell you - THE FRIES. Perfectly cooked, not even lying these are the best fries I have tasted in the city and would drive over just for a bag. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside.

They are doing everything right here and should be extremely proud bringing the Caribbean flavors to Winnipeg - they...
