I've been here for lunch and dinner several times. The food is authentic and delicious. I love Filipino food, and Kalan is my choice for Lunch/Dinner in Winnipeg. The restaurant is clean, the people are very nice and engage the customer.
One of my all time favorite dishes is Kare-kare, which is an oxtail stew in a peanut butter gravy. I highly recommend this dish at Kalan. The Papaitan is also very very good.
This morning I am heading over there to try breakfast. Never been there for breakfast before. My favorite Filipino breakfast is Tapa with a side of Tuyo. As far as Filipino Breakfast in Winnipeg goes, Myrna's is the place to beat.
