If you ever have been served and talked to by Atheena you will realize why she calls her place beshies(in japan it is used for besties) - She has such a sweet and helpful vibe and her hardwork as well as her love for her work shows right up and she makes you feel like you are her best friend.
There have been a few takoyaki places that have popped up after her, one with almost the same logo on mcphillips and etc. but let me assure you beshies is one and only as no one can make you feel like you have eaten a great takoyaki as her, She does an Osaka Style one and I havent been to japan so I dont know the differences, but this one's tasty. The other place is not bad but it doesn't have the same feeling but i suppose they had more money and could bear more risk, but having eaten at both the places I would rate Beshies over them. I think her batter and seasoning are better than other ones too.
Ofcourse its best to eat them fresh as they are supposed to be eaten and having them at different summer festivals she and her crew is around is really great, but if you plan to have them as take out you can request her to pack the sauce and other things separate so you can then reheat in an airfryer or even on a pan low heat and it turns crispy out gooey inside.
The wonderful flavors of her offering is superior to any other place, The traditional octopus one is good, but try one with cream cheese and I prefer the EBBIYAKI with cream cheese and CHIZU BURGER - cheese burger is so delicious and something unique and nice. If you want to you can try the veggie as well, it wasn't bad but I personally will have the others over it. I find her TAIYAKI to be bettetr than the one that is on Corydon - try it, its always fresh and super, the custard and red bean are our picks. I still have to try the rice dishes, will have to wait for that.
Yes there is less parking space and dining space at her location but if you really really really want good takoyakis make that effort you wont be disappointed. And because I know people will put in the effort to have something that they really like it doesn't matter if they have to illegally park and break a few rules.
So what's stopping you beshie? make yourself a few...
Read moreThe food here is amazing! I've ordered around 6-7 times this year (mainly because I stress eat and it's the pandemic). Ask for any special treatment (like extra sauce/some more spice) and they'll do it! The food itself is delicious with every bite. The Takoyaki itself is super soft and creamy. With other restaurants, I've eaten 3-4 pieces and find myself not wanting anymore, but with Beshiestakoyumms, their Takoyaki makes you want more (I've consumed 32 pieces in one sit down!). They also give out these cards with stamps that will reward you with some free food once you get 7 stamps. I didn't get mine with my order, so I contacted them through Instagram and they told me that I just needed to show the conversation thread to count as a stamp! With such great customer service and food quality, this place is...
Read moreWas craving for Takoyaki and drove 25 mins to tryout this place, there was little to no parking, the neighborhood felt a bit unsafe, was forced to park a block away. The store/restaurant is small, bar seats for 4 max if you are dining in.
Both Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki we tried were good and should be eaten dine in to appreciate its full delicious awesomeness but most customers were ordering to go which is a shame. The lady that took our order and prepared it was really nice and pleasant, though we had a bit of misunderstanding with my order.
If we lived closer to this part if the city I can see myself coming here often but if you have to drive a bit I would...
