We just moved to the area, so I thought I'd try this place on a day I don't want to cook. I was very disappointed 😞. It's a very basic place like a tiny old school diner, definitely nothing to call home about lol especially with the quality. The kolbassa is not kolbassa, it's garlic coil or garlic sausage. The mushrooms on the burger are NOT fried they're legit just from a can 😳. The only thing that was quality was the marble bread and the pancake (not the best but better than what else was ordered).
I asked for my egg yolks to be runny but fully cooked on top (so ppl who cook on the usual or a cook should ABSOLUTELY know this term and how to cook a simple egg without the top being raw 🤢) this didn't happen 😞. I am now home with a sore tummy 👏🏽 and paid for it. So I won't be we returning or suggesting the place, unless someone else is paying or it's not breakfast.
Oh! and if you ask for a bag you're given a white GARBAGE BAG 😳 so after paying 30+ for my breakfast I'm made to take my leftover food home in a garbage bag 😳😞. I'll never...
Read moreMy girlfriend wanted to take me out for breakfast for my belated birthday on the Saturday of the long weekend. Girl time without our partners always good to catch up on life. Every place we stopped was either closed for the long weekend or 1/2 to an hour wait. Want do what do, we do looked online for breakfast locations. Hey that’s close let’s head over to Kendal’s. Lucky we came when we did one table left. Soon as we sat menus were brought to us. I ordered Western Omelette ‘n she ordered Ruben Omelette. The meals were brought to us ‘n they looked amazing. Very tasty too. We could see this place was popular people were coming in steady. Hidden gems are always good find. Their prices are very reasonable. Friendly ‘n excellent service.
We when were walking back to the car noticed service station you could service to your car while you ate also you can gas up your vehicle. Easy access off the...

Kendel's charm is in its dated decore and simple menu. Stepping into this gas station diner feels like stepping back in time. I'd say that their bruch game is much stronger than their burger game, so stick to that portion of the menu. Speaking of portions, their prices are more than reasonable, especially considering the size of their brunch portions. Their coffee cups may be the original ones from when they opened in 1974, but the constant refills keeps the coffee hot.
This establishment is a long-time treasure of North Kildonan, and gives us a chance to experience what dining out used to be like. Though you might expect it, they won't ask you if you want to be seated in...
