I had a disc resurfaced at the meadowood location, was told I had 2 minutes time left on the resurfacer for any disc, you buy by increments of 10, my receipt clearly shows this. Went to the MacLeod location today with 5 other games I was looking to resurface along with a box of games for trade. I presented the games and receipt to the woman working and she became extremely hostile when I explained what I explained above to her with a extremely poor attitude, she was yelling that's not how it works. It turns out she was the manager. I explained that there was no need to speak to me the way she was since all I was doing was explaining to her what I had been told at the other store. I took everything and left due to this. Because of her poor customer service, attitude and hostility, the store lost my business, 5 games that I was wanting resurfaced and a box of trade all because she was unwilling to honour what was explained to me at the other store which boils down to 2 minutes on the resurfacer. Crazy. Extremely poor business savvy, customer service and...
Read moreEdit review Facebook page of PNP was very helpful. I'm not taking down my original review as the store was still a terrible experience but if you need something held I would message their Facebook rather than phone. They can indeed do manual orders through the store but the guy who works there refused to do so. My 4 stars is for their social media team, not in store.
Always out of physical copies for new games, when called to ask the store if we could hold the one in stock the man working said no, and didn't ask for a name to put on a waiting list for it. Why even have a physical game store if you don't stock new games? That seems like a weird practice. Also whenever I visit the store or my husband does one of the men working there (also clearly the one talked to on the phone) was very dismissive and said just orde rit online and hung up. How can we order a game online if it's not in stock online. I used to try to support local but this experience soured my opinion of PNP. Not a great business practice to have poor customer...
Read moreLong time customer, decided a few years back to purchase my NES games from here as they always seem to have at least one gem for my collection. I also purchase/trade all my other games here.
I do find however, that at times, some of the staff can be rude. I've been a gamer since the age of two, and I know the history of it and I'm a complete nerd haha. Some members of the staff treat the customers, myself included, as if they have no knowledge of the gaming world.
I do understand that some customers think they "know it all" when it comes to gaming and will talk out of their ass. I've witnessed it, and I've heard from prominent gaming store owners that it is a common frustration. Ultimately though, customer service must be of the utmost importance.
I've spent thousands of dollars at this store and will most likely continue to do so. But please, don't treat the customers like they're dumb. I'm not talking about educating the customer, I'm talking about HOW you educate...
