I have eaten here several times. The first time was amazing and excellent service. Each time there after has been progressively worse. I am not acknowledged when I come in, most times I have to ask for water, I am always asked if I would like naan bread (Very tasty), buffet items are not consistently refilled, I have had to eat my entire meal with a spoon and no beverage since the server was eating her lunch at the table beside me. I finally asked if I could go to the kitchen to get my own fork and water. There is no staff enforcing the clean plate everytime for the buffet clientelle. This is a health and safety no no. The last visit will be my last. There was loud gangster music playing my entire meal, there was so much profanity and racist slang rapping. I went to my vehicle after paying and looked at my bill, there was an open food item on the bill. I went back inside to enquire what it was. The restaurant was completely quiet, I guess this music is reserved only to be played for guests, so I should feel special. I asked what the open charge was and I was told it was taxes. I said then you are double charging me the taxes. I had to ask 3 times, finally he said it was for the naan bread. I explained in the last 12 times I have been here there has not once been an open food charge. So he explains that it's only free with the Friday night dinner, I explained I have never been there on a Friday night. He finally agreed to give me a refund. He grabs a handful of nickels from the till and asks me to count them. There was 60cents. I told him forget it. I...
Read moreThe food is very tasty and the prices are great so we order dinner on their website once a month or so, however the order has not once ever been complete or accurate. We always order the dinner for two exactly as it is advertised on their website and on their menu but at least one item is always missing; sometimes it is the rice, sometimes it is the vegetable dish or the channa masala. The dinner also says it comes with raita however not once have we ever received it with the meal. When you order the dinner it gives you a choice of 3 dessert options and we have order different choices every time however EVERY time we have received the Galub Jamin and not whatever dessert we have ordered. Ordering can sometimes be frustrating because when you order online it lets you place an order, but sometimes the order will not be confirmed even though they are open and taking orders. Other times the order will show confirmed and then when you go pick it up they ask for your order all over again as if they never received the order in the first place. If I could breakdown my rating I would give them one star for order accuracy, two stars for the service and one star for the ordering process online, but in the end the food tastes great, the prices are fair and the portion sizes are also acceptable enough to keep me going back so I would rate King of India 3...
Read moreBeyond bizarre. I have driven by King of India for years and always wanted to eat here. Pictures online show an amazing spread of delicious food. Don't you believe it. The decor was very strange. Set up for a super fancy birthday party despite being ready for dinner. We wandered around the dining area for several minutes before a staff member finally came out to greet us. She was very nice. I asked if there was a dinner buffet as the signs outside advertise. She confirmed and pointed to a steam line of eight trays of unrecognizable brown substances that look like they had been there all day. Maybe longer. I have eaten at many Indian restaurants. Indian food is vibrant in appearance and flavor. This looked disgusting. One of our group is vegetarian, so I asked if any of the trays contained a vegetarian dish. She seemed confused and hesitant, but eventually she pointed to the four dishes on the left. Not very convincing. At this point I had seen enough and we left. In conclusion, do not waste your time by dining at King of India. Do not believe the advertising online. It was a big...
