Eagerly drawn by the allure of its prime location and fresh establishment, I recently ventured into A&W with high hopes. However, my optimism quickly waned upon encountering a significant obstacle: the restroom facilities were inexplicably locked. This unexpected inconvenience not only disrupted the flow of my visit but also forced me to seek assistance just to access basic amenities. Such a fundamental oversight in a well-known chain establishment speaks volumes about the lack of attention to customer needs.
As I navigated this unwelcoming situation, it became apparent that the ethos of hospitality was sorely lacking. The absence of accessible restrooms in a newly built location is not just an oversight but a glaring failure in delivering a satisfactory customer experience. In a world where convenience and comfort are paramount, such oversights are simply unacceptable.
Consequently, this disheartening encounter has left an indelible mark on my perception of A&W. Despite the convenience of its location, I find myself compelled to seek alternative dining options for both lunch and coffee. While this decision may entail a few extra meters of travel, the assurance of a welcoming environment and attentive service far outweighs the inconvenience of distance. Until A&W addresses these shortcomings and prioritizes customer satisfaction, I regrettably cannot endorse nor frequent its...
Read moreI spent over $90 for three people the food was horrible there was the stump end of the tomato a stamp size piece of lettuce on my burger and the onion rings were a solid ball of breading and half cooked dough all stuck together. When I called to have my meal replaced she said she would mail me out coupons that was in March it's now May. After calling and calling I finally said I would just come and pick up the coupons for the replacement when I got to the restaurant the manager told me that she would only make me a burger and onion rings and I had to take them now because I would not see her again, so I took the food and the bad attitude, and again the onion rings were horrible it was like cardboard inside breading. Also when I travel across Canada the ice coffee machine is never working in spite of advertisements for iced coffee the unnecessary stops cuts into my time at work with no beverage. Maybe some secret shopping of various locations are in order? for the prices charged for your food, I expect better customer service, better management style and especially better food. I grew up on A&W and sad to say that I will never be back to another A&W. All aspects of the restaurant have fallen way below expectations and the prices...
Read moreWell, I should have read these reviews before going. What a terrible disappointment.
Stopped here after a arriving at the airport from a long overseas trip. Was tired and just wanted a fast and reliable meal like I’ve come to expect from other A&W locations.
Very bad experience.
Firstly, I found the staff at the drive-through window rude and abrupt. I admit that I misheard what was said over the unclear microphone, but the response was harsh.
When I got to the window, the staff member (I don’t know if it was the same one) never spoke to me, even after a pleasant “hello” from me. Thrusted the machine out the window, then slammed it shut. Again, with the drink, then the food, neither time acknowledging me as a human.
Then there was the food. Just awful.
The food was clearly thrown in the bag. The burger was barely assembled, parts in the wrong order and impossible to grab without pieces falling everywhere. The onion rings were cold. Almost inedible.
And on top of all this, no serviette in the bag.
I will never return. Travellers beware. You have a choice along Route 90 for fast food. Unless you get different staff than I did, you will not be pleased with...
