I am not sure where all of these good reviews are coming from but they’re false. Whatever you do, do not go here. I went to this place based on the good reviews posted online and was absolutely shocked and slightly horrified...
To begin, about 8 things were crossed off on their menu which should have been a warning... but I ordered anyways because the reviews were so good!!!
The chicken was brought out from the back room and was in a warming container, that’s forgivable since it was a quiet night...it was then put on a grill, it was dry and had clearly been sitting for hours, there was no meat on the grills despite it being the middle of the dinner hour.
The restaurant was barely stocked enough to fill one plate in terms of salad and rice, I ordered a platter to share with my daughter, which I have done at other Shawarma places many times and they barely gave me enough for one fork full of salad... The veggies and lettuce for the salad were not fresh and the croutons were stale. This meal was simply not edible.
Just do yourself a favor and walk away!!! This place shouldn’t even be...
Read moreI used to live in an area with shawarma restaurants everywhere you looked, and I often get homesick cravings for good shawarma. We decided to try Kebab and Shawarma for lunch today and I was completely impressed on all counts.
Not only was our food ready fast, but they warmed it up for us to make sure it would be hot. The staff were kind, welcoming, and outgoing and they thanked me for my business, which felt really genuine. The food itself was AWESOME. Authentic, delicious and HUGE portions. I got shawarma poutine and samosas and I cannot believe the value for the samosas - they are MASSIVE considering their price and incredibly delicious. The poutine was big enough to feed me for 2-3 meals - so I'm also really excited for that. Nothing wrong with having really good food for multiple meals. My coworker got a shawarma wrap (and samosas, too!) and was equally as impressed.
Overall, I would 100% recommend for anyone looking for a good...
Read moreI go to a lot of shawarma places and this has been the worst one I have ever been to. The meat was super dry... I’m not sure why they had to grab meat from the back, because there were meats on the spits. It just looked like they cooked it, brought it to the back, and put it on a grill to warm it up. No other shawarma place I have been to has ever done that.
This place was also very slow. There were 5 customers and 3 people working, yet it still took 15-20 minutes to get my order. I normally don’t complain about wait times because I am very patient but this place was EXTREMELY slow.
The pitas that they used are very small, and doesn’t justify the price you pay. It was more like a shawarma Taco.
Overall, the food is very sub par and the workers weren’t very friendly. I would suggest going to get shawarma elsewhere or getting something...
