Lord Stow’s Café — Restaurant in Coloane

This is a miss for me, Not bad, but far from good and joins the whole bunch of other asian egg tarts. As this was often being called an Authentic Portuguese Egg Tart, I went in expecting something that could resemble a Pastel de Nata, but, oh boy, I was wrong.

Crust is flaky, but not shattering as you one would have expected from a Portuguese Egg Tart, this is probably the highlight of the show.

Custard is extremely underwhelming and resembles more a hot pudding filling and not a cream.

Don't get me wrong, this is edible, but my expectations fell from a cliff with this one and the lack of Portuguese people in the reviews should have served as evidence.

Paying a visit to Lord Stow's café is strongly recommended to everyone visiting Macao. It's a charming little café offering food, pastries and drinks in Coloane. It has a truly authentic vibe. We had some of their amazing egg tarts at the bakery around the corner before visiting the café, so we stopped by just for a quick coffee break. The cappuccino was good and we got cucumber infused complimentary water. The staff was heartily welcoming and kind. Mastercard is accepted, unlike many other places in Macao. Thumbs up...

nice and small cafe with only 4 tables with very helpful waiters/waitresses. i walked in on sunday at lunchtime and was lucky to get one high stool table. they have a quite good 🥑 avo toast at 52 MOP$ with the possibility of adding extra halloumi for 20 MOP$, it was very tasty. it is nice to find a healthy option there. aircon is too strong though imho. they have free wifi and they add 10% service charge. there is a bigger Lord Stow express cafe around the corner, if this little...
