I highly recommend this place! It's like being transported to Japan in Cheung Sha Wan. The portion sizes are generous and the food is delicious. The ambiance is meticulously designed with attention to detail, making you feel like you're in a Japanese drama set in the millennium. There are plenty of Instagrammable spots, even the ceiling has its own charm! The place is adorned with arcade games, gachapon machines, anime posters on the walls, and Japanese songs playing in the background. The Y2K neon lights add to the overall Japanese aesthetic. It's truly a great place for capturing memorable moments.
The staff is friendly, helpful, and made our dining experience enjoyable. (ฅ́˘ฅ̀)
Recommendation: Signature Hot Pot Set Menu for Two - HK$498 Includes hot pot, simmered rice, assorted skewers platter, and two small appetizers. **Special drinks available for an additional HK$28 per glass.
The highlight of our meal was the premium US black beef neck fillet with sukiyaki simmered rice. It was mind-blowing! Not only was it filling, but it also tasted incredibly good. You can choose two types of hot pot, and we went for the US black beef and sukiyaki. The staff helped us cook the sukiyaki hot pot, starting with frying the beef in the pot with the sugar already present. We dipped it in egg sauce for extra tenderness and then cooked various vegetables like onions, cabbage, tofu, and mushrooms. Finally, they added rice to the broth, and the creamy rice dish turned out unexpectedly delicious! This restaurant's original Kansai-style simmered rice is a must-try, especially if you enjoy risotto. The portion was generous, and the staff also helped us with grilling the meat while we enjoyed the hot pot. They were very attentive. (˘▾˘)
The assorted skewers platter was a pleasant surprise. The skewers were fresh, hot, and grilled to perfection. Each item came in pairs, including pork belly, prawns, chicken wings, shiitake mushrooms, okra, pineapple, and spicy sauce. They were incredibly flavorful. (*˙˘˙)♡
We had the pleasure of trying the truffle cheese fries and grilled beef tongue as appetizers. They arrived before the hot pot and were so tempting that we couldn't resist trying them. They were crispy, fresh, and had a generous amount of black truffle sauce. My friend couldn't stop praising how delicious they were. ჱ̒ ー̀֊ー́ )
For drinks, we ordered the fresh milk coffee and lime soda. Both were refreshing and complemented the meal perfectly.
Lastly, we indulged in the white peach parfait priced at HK$108. It was beautifully presented and had abundant toppings, including milk-flavored chocolate, strawberry-flavored Pocky sticks, whole white peaches, peach sherbet, and macarons. It also featured white rice dumplings, yellow bean powder jelly, cream, mochi, crushed cookies, and ice cream. With its diverse textures, this dessert was a rich and delightful treat!♡
Overall, I highly recommend this place for your...

The exact word for Japanese hotpot is “Nabe Ryori" and in this western x Japanese izakaya, this word means delicious! 🤤 Not only do they have a Japanese retro themed restaurant, their food is also very promising! Their Naberyori sets for 2 consist of the followings:
💗Iwate Wagyu & US Prime Chuck Tail Flap 💗 They have 2 types of beef here and both of them are being cooked with the sukiyaki broth, along with some onions and sugar. I soaked them with egg and they melted in my mouth instantly! If this cannot convince you how good this is, maybe the truffle risotto will!🫨
✨Sukiyaki Truffle Risotto✨ This is by far the BEST risotto I have ever tried! They made the truffle risotto with the remaining broth that was used to make the beef and veggies! 🤭This allows the risotto to truly absorb all the flavour left over. When you take a bite of it, you can immediately taste the truffle flavour but as you keep chewing, the sukiyaki flavour creeps in and fills your mouth with the sweet and savoury taste! 👀
🤤Moriawase: Sashimi🤤 The sashimi serves as a refreshing appetiser for the meal and in winter, they offer skewers instead!🍢
💛Side Dish: Mentaiko Tamagoyaki & Popcorn Chicken💛 There are so many to choose from but since I love mentaiko and fried chicken, I went with these two! 😆The tamagoyaki is very soft and poured with mentaiko while there are 3 different types of sauce (Japanese egg-yolk sauce, honey mustard, ketchup) for dipping the crispy popcorn chicken! 🧡
💚Dessert: Pistachio Strawberry Parfait💚 Nothing feels better than to finish up a tasteful meal with a sweet dessert! Not only the strawberry and pistachio ice cream are sweet, they added a lot of cute ✨chocolate and bits into it, like the milky girl chocolate lollipop, making the eating experience so enjoyable!🥹

Read moreVisited this Japanese resto in Cheung Sha Wan with colleagues for dinner after we finished the gelato. . We ordered the Naberyori Set for 2 to share, which included one Naberyori, one Odan and two Sides.
For the sides, we chose Mentaiko Tamagoyaki and Popcorn Chicken. The Mentaiko Tamagoyaki was topped with lots of mentaiko sauce and crab roe, adding layers to the sweet and soft egg.
The Popcorn Chicken, served with mayonnaise and honey mustard, was crispy, but could have been hotter.
The Odan consisted of raddish, chikuwa, gobomaki, shirataki, fish cake, etc. The clear yet savoury broth made the ingredients juicy and flavourful.
For the Naberyori, we chose Oz Wagyu Sirloin & US Prime Chunk Flap Tail.
The staff introduced the ingredients, cooked the meal, and used butter and sukiyaki sauce to enhance the aroma of the meat.
The Sirloin was fatty and tender, melting in the mouth, while the Flap Tail had a thicker texture and stronger meat flavour. Dipping them in raw eggs elevated the experience.
After cooking the meat, a Vegetable Platter with mushrooms, tofu, baby cabbage and onions was served. They soaked the beef saues nicely.
The remaining sauces were used to make Black Truffle Risotto with corn grains, a large amount of cheese, cream and black truffle grains, creating a moist and smoky texture with a prominent black truffle taste. It might look ordinary, but after trying it, you would be truly impressed. . The resto's blend of retro Showa food street charm with Heisei style, featuring neon signs, movie posters and cinema light boxes, sets a unique ambiance perfect for gatherings with friends or...
