Putien (Plaza Hollywood) — Restaurant in Kowloon

Had been here for lunch a few times and love their seafood noodles in thick soup. The lunch combos come with a Chinese long soup that make the prices more attractive. Came over here for lunch and expecting to have the noodles that I like, but … the menu has changed and my favourite dish has gone.

So, I tried a new dish, beef noodles with mushroom, without noticing they really mentioned beef brisket on the menu. Not a fan of beef brisket, I tried the dish, the first bite of beef was good, the beef was tender and tasted good. However, the rest of the beef brisket pieces and the mushrooms were tough; so much that I gave up eating the last piece of beef.

Luckily, the side dishes that came with the combo were good. I like the tofu and the bamboo shot. The soup was another reason that I came here, the pork bone with hairy gourd soup was hot and tasty. This outweighed the dissatisfaction from the...

Food taste lower than average, but very expensive. The service is really disappointing, they don’t introduce you the name of the dish when they give it to you. Also I asked for tissue, she looked back at me so I am very sure she heard it, but she just didn’t give me it. We also found dirt on the mushroom, and they gave us a coupon so we can use it next time, we asked for discount this time but rejected, so you expecting us to come again after this terrible experience?

Excellent flavours that showcase regional cuisine, comfortable ambience, friendly service. Even the basic things like stir-fried vegetables or fried rice were executed very well.
