Long story short, this is the worst restaurant experience I have had since Covid began.
Details: The first sign of this restaurant not being up to standard was the front of the door. The host was impatient and unwilling to help. His body language indicated that he is frustrated and wanted to move away from the counter.
When we sat down, we quickly realised that the table was far too small for an all-you-can-eat restaurant. There was barely any room left after having one drink, a condiments bowl, an eating bowl and a large bowl for the buffet isle.
When our table was full, the waiters and waitresses did not inquire on where they should put the food, or did they even attempt to help shuffle things around to make room. But rather, what they did do was placed them ON TOP of our RAW foods (like pork and beef) and did so with force. Even when we, the diners said 'thank you,' they did not respond. Another case I have to bring up is when they ignored us when we asked for a staff member to refill our soups. Again, they seemed impatient and unwilling to help.
In terms of food, the slices of pork, beef and beef tongue was adequate, but nothing too special. However, the seafood was appaling. The mussels tasted bitter when eaten, the scallop came in frozen; hard as a rock. The kitchen staff clearly did not bother with defrosting food. To continue further, the mini sweet potatos was an eyesore, and was hard to chew. This indicates that it's either not cooked properly or was not fresh. The fried chicken nuggets, sushi and potato wedges was dry and lacked flavour.
The buffet isle is of low quality foods, again frozen solid. Drinks are standard, so was the ice cream. The slushie machine produced drinks that had next to no flavour, as if I was only drinking iced water.
I will never be returning to this restaurant.
This is a shame because I really love all-you-can-eat hotpots. If the food is exceptional but the place had sub-standard service, I would still accept it. But in this case, the restaurant...
Read moreWell, It was quite good and quite cheap for an all you can eat hotpot buffet, it was just 60 HKD for an hour and half price for the beef, I really liked it because of the frozen yougurt and hotpot which is so much better than shabu shabu, the staff didn't say anything but were quite helpful too. I also found it extremely cute when they put their logo (a cute japanese devil) on their own food. On the bad side, there are unfortunately no fishballs 😭 and the chocolate ice cream sucks (thats right, they have ice cream, drinks and soda) but that's pretty much why I didn't give it a 5 star. Definitely...
Read moreThe hot pot meat and fresh produce are fine. Nothing special. fairly basic in terms of range of items available for this price. You can get lower priced all you can eat hot pot in quite a few places for a similar experience.
Service was quick and staff were quiet and polite.
Soft serve was tasty. Slushie was available with two flavours of drink available. Basic soda available too. Tea coffee that you need to prepare yourself also freely available. Good enough range of condiments. The Kimchi was terrible. All the cooked food orders were poor. Ramen for hot pot was the fresh ramen and...
