My hubby, who grew up in Taiwan, said that the Beef Noodle Soup reminded him of his childhood. I've never eaten Taiwanese beef noodle soup until we found this place and I loved it so much that we came back for one more bowl before catching our flight home to Canada.
The beef and veggie chunks are large and fork-tender. The noodle have an excellent "bite" to them. The broth is savory and flavorful and rich. The spicy flavour was mouth numbingly wonderful.
A very popular dish - honey toast - gets great reviews. It's gorgeous but it really is toast. I was expecting a French toast style, more like a dessert, but this is fruit and ice cream layered on crunchy dry toast. Beautiful but I do not enjoy having my mouth torn up by hard bread.
