Genki Sushi (Tuen Mun Town Plaza) — Restaurant in Tuen Mun District

We love Genki Sushi in Tuen Mun! It comes out to about $1.50 - $3 per piece of sushi. However these babies were perfectly sized. Not everyone will like everything but I thought the service was good. Its self service drinks ..hot water or (matcha) green tea. I think you can get ice water but we didn't bother. Hello they give you free Matcha. The wait staff was very helpful and patient by Hong Kong standards...sorry HK people but, it's true. I can't even count the number of times I had to beg for water, napkins, refills and etc. Everyone is nice but, not service oriented since tip is included as a service charge. I still love HK and would go back! Back to Genki, if you don't have a cell phone, it can be difficult ordering. Better take that phone with you even if you don't have a data plan here. Don't worry, they will give you free WiFi so you can order after you scan the QR code. In fact free WiFi is everywhere. We ordered everything, nigiri, sashimi, rolls, limited time offer items, ramen, udon, tempura and desserts. We were relatively pleased with almost everything. The ramen broth is very shrimpy which I love but others not so much. The rice cheese balls were interesting. It was so much fun for everyone to order from the QR code and wait for the sushi shuttle/bus to come and stop at your station. The damage for four was about 440 Hong Kong dollars or about $60. Well worth it. But you can order as much or little...

Absolutely horrific experience.

I came to the store to use an in-app coupon on my points card but when I opened the app the coupon had disappeared.

The restaurant staff were unable to help me and gave me a hotline number. I spoke to the staff on the phone for 30mins and they told me that they couldnt help me either even though it was an error with their app.

How can anyone trust their membership system if coupons can disappear and they refuse to help?

Absolutely awful...

In terms of price and quality it is mediocre. If you want a better, more fresh sushi experience. I suggest you try actual restaurants instead of spinnerys/rail deliver.

However using your mobile phone to order and then a special train comes and deliver you food is very unique and you won't get any other than Genki Sushi. Just that, earns them some points...
