I booked this hotel by mistake but honestly I did enjoyed my stay there. Hotel was really convenient and easy access as it’s a 5 min walk from Tuen Mun MTR station. taxi to hotel from airport is between HK $150-HK $180. And a 36 min ride to Tsim tsa Tui with MTR. Location is definetly awesome. What we love:- location as really convenient and easy access to everything ( airport, Disneyland, ocean park, tourist point,..)- V city is a 5 min walk with a whole street of foods- McDonald’s is a 10 min but open 24h which we found out the next day - themed rooms which were beautiful and spacious- the hotel was really cute with theme floor and cute lobby- the staff who are super lovely and helpful- the pool which was small but cuteWhat we were quite disappointed by:- towels was only provided for 2 persons when the booking was for 2A & 2C so from the day we checked in and every 2 days as we needed housekeeping only every 2 days we had to run after the housekeeper to get 2 extra towels ( Hong Kong summer means you gonna sweat a lot)- bathroom had a sewer smell that will spread to the room every day when the air con was off and we end up buying a bathroom désodorisant but it didn’t t help much as the smell was from the shower drain. - pool was limited access: 1 hr a day and at the time you booked. But if a storm was predicted they will not let you use the pool and you lose not only the time slot but the access to the pool for the day. Even if it end up with no thunderstorm. So a bit upsetting as it was really hot and humid.- breakfast was not worth it. Expensive with limited choice .Overall this hotel was really cute and lovely. Will definetly stay there again but maybe on another floor as they got some really cute theme room and your eyes will be delighted as well as your kids. It was also really convenient and easy access from the MTR and taxi services which stopped by often. We honestly travel to airport and Disneyland by taxi which was mass than HK $200 each way with luggage or pram so highly recommend this hotel for long stay. As i will certainly stay there again on...
Read moreGood deco, some good staff but the rest are not up to standard. Do not recommend. Pros: The room (penguin) was very cute and suitable for kids. It is a bit smaller than I would imagine. The decorations of the lobby and other levels are very nicely done. Majority of the staff (esp Terrence and Nick from the restaurant) are very nice and welcoming. Roast beef and lamb from the buffet dinner were good. There were a few parks and shopping malls nearby. The hotel is also next to the train station. Cons: Room: We have registered to be 3 adults and 1 kid (twin double room) but we were provided with 2 pairs of slippers, 2 glasses, 2 adult toothbrushes and 2 kids toothbrushes. We asked for more teabags and we were told that we were only allowed 2 teabags each room (we asked for another 2). It was cold and there wasn't heater in the room. I called the service desk and was told that they only have cold air-con on or off.
Restaurant: We bought tickets for the buffet dinner from KKday and it advertising as "Beef, Lobster, Oyster". The lobster was hard and overcooked. The oyster was tasteless and we can only get 1 at a time. The crab legs were unbearably salty. Definitely not recommended. The restaurant was lack of staff. Can see 2 staff running around all the time and unable to clear the table fast enough. The breakfast buffet was absolutely horrible. Most basic stuff including congee (that isn't hot enough) with 2 toppings, eggs, sausage, ham, bread, cereal and fruit only. Would rather go to the local cafe around the corner to have a more flavourful, hot breakfast.
Children play area: The reason we chose this hotel was for the play area. It was advertised to have electric cars that you can drive. When we were there the first day, only 1 car was working but it ran out of battery quickly. Second day with no car that is working. Some other items of the play area is actually broken with...
Read moreThe location is at Tuen Mun, not that far from Tuen Mun MTR station, depends on where you took the exit or depends on your carriage. At first we came there from bus stop (A33X) in front of V CIty. Hotel have 2 entry, both have elevator and one of it has escalator. We stay for 3 nights, Family with 2 children under 7 yo. Check in was easy, the staff (most of the staff there) could not speak English. Only few could, I could not remember the name. The staff was not delivering hospitality, I understand if they could not speak English well or might not be able to explain very well to us, but the body language and the gesture showing lack of concern and just want us to end the conversation with them. The main reason we stay here is because of the kids ambience and facility (we try the playground for 30 minutes). The swimming pool was closed till summer. Breakfast was lack of choice and we had 90% same food each day, white rice, ham, sausage, miso soup, fried noodle, bread, cereal, self service coffee machine. There was only single staff at breakfast time, also she could not speak English at all. I ask for water and she could not give me one. I had to use online translation apps. The room was okay, as seen on picture. Behind the hotel there is another hotel and there is a cafe at the ground floor. Walking distance to hotel is Tuen Mun park, where you can jog, walk, tai chi, enjoy the vibes, visit reptile museum, or walk further to the shopping mall. I was not saying the hotel was bad, the hotel was okay, just did not my expectation for foreigner traveling with family, also did not deliver hospitality as i am a south east asian person and i have been traveling to many asian country. This hotel suits for business hotel with mandarin or...
