DON DON DONKI — Local services in Hong Kong

Recently went to the store with my school friends and they got ramune (japanese soda drink), and since it would spill if we did it over a normal surface, we tried to do it over a trash can. When this gigantic ego, tiny ponytail, sassy woman came over and said “u can’t do that over a trash can it’ll explode”. So I asked her “where can we open it”, and the fact that a student dare reply back to her really fuelled her i think, so she replied with the most unpleasant tone “Go home or something, or even go to the park” ??? why would i go to the park or go home to drink something i bought to drink now? To skyrocket her ego, some random lady from the shopping line came over to back her up? Not even about her not letting us open the ramune, the tone and attitude was horrendous, especially to literal students. we ended up going to the tables at the back, and some woman taught us KINDLY, to just press it hard when it bursts. It is the biggest Donki store in Hong Kong now. The isles are a lot wider. It’s more comfortable shopping here with a cart. It’s still pretty new, so it’s quite crowded. Nonetheless, because it is quite spacious, it is still a better shopping experience compared to location with a smaller area. The cook the food varieties are the same as other stores. I find their toro sashimi and sushi a little fishy though. Will not buy their tuna sushi again, since it’s not...

I love Donki and this is one of my favourite shops in Tuen Mun. The variety of products you can choose from, the generally competitive prices, and the Japanese atmosphere make me love this place so much. But there are products that are not as cheap as in other shops or Aeon (e.g., snacks), and the self checkout machines are sometimes faulty when scanning barcodes and receiving payments.
