Mi Gran Parrilla Boyacense - Av. Quito — Restaurant in Bogota, Capital District

I think this restaurant has seen better days, at some point it was one of the best, but now the quality and service you receive is not worth the value you pay, the size of the plates is huge but the quality is poor or average, the price is on the expensive side for must of the plates you can get on different restaurants for way cheaper and in better quality or flavor, maybe I had an unlucky visit, but the last 3 times I have eaten in this restaurant I have left disappoint mainly because the fish didn't matched my expectations, or because the quality of the service was just outrageous, sometimes I was tempted to just stand up and leave because they will not pick up your order quickly, or you will have to wait more than the comfortable amount of time to receive what you asked for or the waiter/waitress will just not be interested in taking your order...

Our waitress was bla, but the rest of the crew was happy. But even if our waitress was bla, she was good.

Food was warm, no biggie. I hear that is more custom than late.

Portions are above average and some might share.

Inside, the place is well put together with friendly staff that greets you. Gives you a number and off you go.

Take an elevator to the floor assigned and someone is there to greet you once we exited the elevator.

Where I think it lacks a bit of punch is the exterior. The main entrance is decently bright, but once you turn that corner it is dark quick. And as a foreigner one would like not to trip over the million potholes on the streets as well as the sidewalks.

Plus the parking is not onsite, it is around the block and that is dark as well.

Superb place with well organized service on 4 floors at reasonable prices in a very classy setting whether inside a main dining room on on one of the balcony settings with an outside view. Incredible selection of foods be it fish, chicken, seafood, pork and especially beef! The mujarra is so good I have to keep from ordering it every time and I find the trout as nicely done too. I especially enjoy the fine touches like the excellent salads and side dishes both in presentation and in taste as well. I seem to recall excellent desserts as well but usually we are so filled up all we can squeeze in is a coffee. BTW-their wines and cocktails are excellent too!
