Torbellino Coffee & Brunch - Palomino — Restaurant in Dibulla

We planned to stay there for 3 nights but then extended it even further because it was so great that it would have been a shame to leave there so early. Unlike many hotels and hostels in most parts of Colombia, in this place you find tranquillity and peace. It is not the closest to the beach but the great service and atmosphere makes up for it. We basically just chilled in the common area without getting bored even a minute. The staff is extraordinarily nice and helpful, the rooms are cleaned everyday, the breakfast is delicious, free coffee the entire day and 2 cats and a dog always around! Coco the cat gave the hostel its name and is literally the "Watchcat" while the dog just chills around :D On our first day, they also got a visit by a baby cat, Pechi, which from then on acquired the hostel as his home and made me fall in love with it. If it wasn't for this place, we couldn't be saying now that we enjoyed our holiday. You can chill on the hammocks in the common area accompanied by the very soft and relaxing music they play silently on the background, contary to many other hostels which play loud music thinking that the guests would enjoy it. Great place to unwind and enjoy Palomino. Delicious breakfast. You get to choose between three different options (eggs, pancakes or a vegan option) - I loved the pancakes. The staff is friendly and helps organising tubing if you wish. Open common are finished off with hammocks. Nice rooms with a nice quiet (!) fan and a working, right sized mosquito net covering the bed. There is a well equipped kitchen for guest use. And there is free coffee all day long. Also they offer a water bottle refill for 1000cop. The location is great being very quiet even though it's just around the corner of Palominos busiest street. We stayed for a week and loved it, also the proximity to the beach and restaurants is a big plus. Two very cute cats show you how to chill, the only bad thing I can think of was...

Coco sankala is a medium size (room for 20 guests) hostel, run by its owners.

Beautiful building (tipical bamboo construction), dorms and privates are comfortable and cool at night, you will barely need the fan. Kitchen is spacious and well furnished, all hostel is clean and tidy. Wifi and free coffee all day. Plenty of hammock to chill out.

Location is great: just a few blocks from the beach, but also nearby shops, restaurants, bars etc. And in a very quiet side street to allow a great night of sleep.
