Ate here when I was in Santa Teresa in December, I kept seeing the sign and finally went in my last night in town. I’m kicking myself for not going sooner and getting to enjoy it at least a few times! If you like tostones/patacones this is the place to eat. The drinks were excellent, we ordered a jalapeño margarita and passion fruit margarita, sooo good. The appetizer we had is something I still think of but know I can’t get anywhere near me, do yourself a favor and get some Bolitas de Platano. They are the most perfect crispy creations full of cheese served with dipping sauces. We ordered fish patacones and the serving is definitely enough to have just one. The fish was fresh and the topping were so good, it’s like someone decided to mix up patacones with tostadas . We unfortunately had to leave and take our patacones to go because my partner was sick but the staff were so nice about prepping them to go and packed the toppings in little bags so it didn’t get all soggy. What you see in the picture is how I assembled it once we got back to our cabin. For the price the food is fantastic and I’m still sad I only got to eat here once.

This place holds a special place in my heart! My husband, daughter and I had the most incredible meal here. This was one of my favorite places out of everywhere we went during our two week trip. The food is absolutely delicious and so fresh, and also beautifully prepared! Every dish looks like a work of art. Also, the entire restaurant is a work of art! And the energy is amazing. Not to mention the cocktails are so yummy! The staff is so sweet and so kind, and the ambiance is absolutely magical. Glem the owner is also such a treasure ☺️ She is so gracious, welcoming, and warm. We loved spending time and talking with her!! I am so grateful to have met her. We also purchased a beautiful painting from here that her sister painted. This restaurant is a MUST if you are visiting Santa Teresa, but also a must if you are visiting Costa Rica! I got the Caribbean Bowl with fish which was absolutely incredible, and so fresh. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! We also got the guacamole to start with plantain chips which was soo delicious. I cannot wait to come back here on our next trip

I joined my friend for dinner at El Tercer Ojo and I absolutely loved it! To start, the bohemian decor and vibe matched perfectly with their relaxed, causal and inviting atmosphere. There is also a mini art gallery that has gorgeous, unique paintings of Santa Teresa’s landscape that you can admire (or take home, as they’re available for purchase). Now, let’s get to the food; I ordered the Caribbean Bowl with Mahi Mahi tuna fish and the flavour was phenomenal. For those who like a bit of a kick, this was really well balanced, spicy dish. To top it off, the live music was amazing - the guitarist Michele is truly talented! Thank you to the lovely owner, Glem , who treats her guests like family with her warm welcome and hospitality. For anyone visiting Santa Teresa, you CANNOT miss out on el Tercer Ojo - the best restaurant in Santa Teresa

HORRIBLE RESTAURANT, REVIEWS ARE A SCAM Don't be fooled like we were, do not dine at this restaurant. This is not a respectable restaurant in Santa Teresa. The only reason there are so many 5 stars reviews is because they offer guests a free shot if they write a review. After my group dined there, we later reviewed our bills and realized they did not seem to add up, we believe they secretly upcharged all of us and unfortunately we did not notice in time. I had another friend go there, who also had the exact same experience; a bill that was suspiciously high, an expensive tarot reading where they couldn't have cared less. Tarot readings are an extra $50 USD and need to be booked separately beforehand and the tarot reader was very general, it was nowhere close to a special experience. The woman running the restaurant is rude, she was rude to my friend calling her 'impatient' for standing there waiting for her bill. Service is outrageously slow and the food is at best mediocre. This restaurant is a tourist trap and they don't care about their customers at all, they just care about making a quick buck out of unassuming tourists that came because of the phony...

We had dinner here a few nights ago, and had been looking forward to trying this restaurant. I ordered the veggie burger, and a side order of patacones. Upon ordering I asked the waiter how many patacones comes with a side order, as I was deciding between the side or the full order, they were to share. He said five with the side, so we decided to go with that. The food came out, there were four patacones, and the veggie burger had no burger inside it, it was only the bun, lettuce, tomato, and a thin slice of zucchini.. We asked where the burger was, and he was clearly embarrassed, said he would ask the kitchen. He came back and said the kitchen doesn't actually make a veggie patty, they replace it with a piece of zucchini. If the zucchini was at least a steak size, maybe that would have been passable, but it was literally the thickness of a pickle you would get in a cheeseburger, very thin. It was a veggie burger without the burger... Really unbelievable they would charge money for that.. If you don't have a burger, don't put it on the menu, it's just not truthful. ...
