This is hands down one of the best grocery stores in Santa Teresa, I might even go as far as to say the best in most of the provinces. We got to town, hit Green World first, and purchased amazing whole chickens, grass fed Skirt & Flank steak, and pork loin chops, as well as great organic produce, PERFECT, delicious eggs, the list goes on.. we did a lot of cooking at our vacation rental for the 3 of us, and it was very gratifying! Gracias Kenda & staff! Pura vida!
Edit: After reading other reviews, yes this place is not inexpensive for certain things, but when you’re travelling with a toddler, and you’re trying to eat well, saving time & money from going out to eat, the costs for these high quality items feels very worth it, when every super Mercado has a lot of junk food, less than appetizing carnicerias, Green World is a diamond in the rough and we felt very fortunate to spend our...

The Popsicles in the promotion (2 for 1500). Super delicious with many options & minimized packaging. With the promotion extremely cheap for Santa Teresa.
Postcards! Call me old fashioned, but I like to send postcards. This is one of the few places that sells them
Unpackaged beans and rice. Unfortunately we did not know this when we bought our stuff at megasuper. There we had the choice between too many or too few beans for our stay at the hostel, which was frustrating.
Except of these the place is not the cheapest one, but we noticed that the prices vary here quite a lot in general. Even between the „regular markets“ there were differences like 3€ per watermelon. If you’re mobile and have a bit of time, I suggest to check this place out as well. Worst case you’ll only get a...

Over priced and out of touch "green" store. Items listed as "bulk" deliberately implies a bulk rate. They have 55 grams of hemp seeds for $22 USD in bulk. Dates for 5000 colones that's $10 USD for 8 oz of dates. Other store in the area with the exact same brand and weight charge $3500 colones. What a joke! Many over priced Items are not even organic. To the US folks their prices exceed that of WholeFood. Most Items are in fact available in surrounding grocery stores. The "organic produce is relative to you actually being in a remote Village "Santa Teresa. The food is generally organic from the local farms. This is a finca...
